Raw Summit - Victoria Boutenko - Green Smoothie combos

Victoria's talk last night was mainly about her family's story and about discovering green smoothies and how greens are good for health. Between herself, her husband and 2 children they had a combination of most illnesses out there and each of them was cured by going on a raw diet and eating more healthy foods, esp greens.

I've been asked so many times about what to put in green smoothies.. what combinations of fruit and greens. Most combos taste great.

The idea is to blend green leafy veg and fruit together at a 40:60 ratio.

I take a couple types of greens and fill up the blender with them, add 1 cup water and pulse down. Then fill up with fruit and blend. I often add 1T or so flax seeds - it just seems to fill me up for longer with them added so I am not hungry again so quick.

for greens pick any 2 (or more) Romaine, spinach, kale, chard, sunflower sprouts, pea green sprouts, bok choy, other lettuces, lambs quarters, parsley, beet tops, carrot tops, dandelion, plantain, stinging nettle, purslane, arugula, collards, red clover etc.. etc..

Then the fun part
Some of my favorite fruit combinations are:

Mango, banana, pineapple, pear
raspberry,
pear, banana

blueberry,
strawberry, banana

orange,

jackfruit, orange, mango

grape,

Thank you so much for your summit summaries. They are so much easier to stay focused on than the listening of the real thing! LoL! For the ADD in the group! You are doing us all a wonderful service!

Blessings!
