Creating, Mercury retrograde, Pronoia, a walk on the beach and a world full of meaning

I had a message come to me at work today - many actually - but this one really stands out to me. Someone came in & said he didn't know why but he felt he had to come & tell me something. I had only met him once before (& now he's a most appreciated new messenger friend!). He said that he had thought of this a couple days before & knew he had to come tell me this:

That we are creating everything that is in our awareness. Everything. It is important for us to realize that we create our own surroundings. Everything that happens around us we are drawing to ourselves.
The more we realize this, and take accountability for our environment, for everything that is in our perception, the more the illusion falls away and we draw more positive to us. The more we blame others and do not accept responsibility, the more negative is brought to us, the more we live in illusion.

Mercury is going into retrograde soon. I felt it sooo strongly & got someone at work setting up their laptop to check the dates for me. It starts Oct 14th. Ive mentioned this before.. but its such a big phenomenon.. and usually about 2 weeks before it starts I feel it coming.. like PMS (pre Mercury Symdrome) Huge. People flipping out over ridiculous things - Someone at work getting mad at me, demanding someone else's password. Just crazy mercury type things going on & it hit me..and sure enough.. bang, right on schedule for the mercury Chaos.

Check out a great write up on Mercury retrograde here.

Its book review excerpt time.
I just loved this excerpt - its feel good positive stuff - interesting writing.

The following piece is adapted from my (Rob Brezney's) book
PRONOIA IS THE ANTIDOTE FOR PARANOIA: How the Whole World Is Conspiring to Shower You with Blessings

(Pronoia is the belief that everyone is out to shower you with blessings as opposed to paranoia - that everyone is out to get you)

Let me remind you who you really are: You are one of the chosen ones. You're a luminous being. A primordial miracle. A resplendent avatar. You are a deity in disguise--not a Buddha or a Christ, but of the same lineage and made from the same mojo.

I want to be sure you get what I'm saying. You're an immortal messiah. You have been around since the beginning of time and will be here after the end. Every day and in every way, you're getting better at playing the mysterious master game we all dreamed up together before the Big Bang bloomed.

Let me put it another way. You're a rebel creator longing to make the whole universe your home and sanctuary. You are a dissident bodhisattva joyfully struggling to germinate the seeds of divine love that are packed inside every moment.

It's time to remember. You are a shimmering burst of spiral hallelujahs that has temporarily taken on the form of a human being, agreeing to endure amnesia about your true origins. And why did you do that? Because it was the best way to forge the exquisitely unique and robust identity that would make you such an elemental force in our 14-billion-year campaign to bring heaven all the way down to earth.

You and I are freedom fighters scrambling and finagling and conspiring to relieve all of our fellow messiahs from their suffering and shower them with more blessings than they know what to do with.

*

Lately, I must admit, our work has seemed almost comically impossible. Many of our brothers and sisters believe that everything is upside-down and inside-out. Is war really peace? Is slavery really freedom? Is ignorance strength? How did it all get so insane?

Even many of the smartest among us seem to have lost their vision. Cynicism has become a supreme sign of intelligence. Compulsive skepticism masquerades as perceptiveness. Mean-spirited irony is chic. Beautiful truths are suspect and ugly truths are popular.

...

Maybe most importantly, we have to be ferociously and single-mindedly dedicated to the cause of beauty and truth and love even as we keep our imaginations wild and hungry and free. We have to be both disciplined and rowdy.

That's especially thorny because of the fact that a genocide of the imagination is raging world-wide. It threatens to render our imaginations numb and inert and passive and tame.

I know you know what I mean.

...

Your imagination is supposed to be the engine of your destiny. It is the wizard's wand you can use to design your future. Your imagination is your power to create mental pictures of things that don't exist yet and that you want to bring into being. Every human creation on this earth has begun as a vision in someone's imagination.

Your imagination is also your very own all-purpose joy stick, your snakeskin bag of magic tricks. It's your remote-control channel-changer, and the only reliable rearranger of anything anywhere anytime. It's your X-Factor, your wild card, your wicked funny instigator, your Goddess-sanctioned trouble-maker -- your swarming, terraforming, always-morning brainstormer.

Love desperately needs your imagination. As psychologist James Hillman says, "For a relationship to stay alive, love alone is not enough. Without imagination, love stales into sentiment, duty, and boredom. Intimacy fails not because we have stopped loving but because we first stopped imagining."
I always imagine you!

Your imagination is the single most important tool you have in your daily fight to be free. It is the source of every act of liberation you will ever need to pull off.

But how can your imagination flourish--how can it dream up scenarios that energize you to create your own version of heaven on earth--if you are forever deluged by dazzling psychic toxins that sting and sap and wound your lust for life?

Too many of our brothers and sisters have fallen victim. Their swarming terraforming always-morning brainstormers have been cruelly fooled into acting as if their deepest desires are impossible lies. As a result they live incoherent lives corroded by chronic anxiety.

I for one am no longer willing to tolerate the epidemic obsession with big bad nasty things and flashy trite empty-hearted things. I say it's time for us to re-consecrate and regenerate and lubricate and liberate and take back our imaginations. (& then the demands.... : )

“Ultimately, we must learn to trust ourselves. When we do this intimately and intelligently, the world opens full of meaning before us. We find that we ourselves are the doorway to a fathomless understanding of the source of life itself. We need only to learn to walk through it.”

– James Thornton

I loved this post, and the comment above.:) As a Scorpio, I was happy to learn that tomorrow, "Jupiter will send a lovely message on your behalf to the mighty sun," and that having my birthday during the full moon would create so many "culminating circumstances," that I will need to choose a "new mountain to climb," by this time next year.

Thanks for a happy start to my day!

As always,I love and appreciate you.

Well, I am not sure about Scorpios, but I think Mercury Retro gets a bad rap ... and what about Leos LOL. Anyway, just some background on other retro planets;
October 8 - ... Here is another of the Mars retro lessons. In this case, there are old realities we need to let go of. It may be work or family situations. It may be love relationships. Mars is learning the lesson that these old emotional patterns keep us stuck in old scenarios. Old habits die hard come to mind.
October 8/9 - ... This year has found us in the middle of Venus and Mars retrograde cycles which come every other year. So what no longer works in your world of relationships? Mercury is almost retrograde again so go for the conversations on how you would like to bring more spirituality into your relating. The definition of soul mates is two people who are relating for the purpose of evolving each person’s spiritual growth. It is the foundation of the relationship, with or without sexuality involved, and the freedom for one to move on is always there.
October 9 - Jupiter makes the third and final waning square to Uranus retrograde on October 9 at 15/16 degrees Sagittarius-Pisces. ... Jupiter is in waning (finishing up) patterns to the three outer unconscious planets – Uranus, Neptune and Pluto – while it is in a waxing (building) pattern to Saturn, our individuated consciousness. These last quarter squares – a crisis in consciousness itself – to Uranus are the most intense aspects of 2007 for Jupiter. What are we in crisis over?
October 10/11 - The New Moon of Libra is October 10/11 at 17/18 degrees. This is an annual time to set intent for new beginnings in all our relationships. Libra teaches us about the diversity of people and relationships on the planet. Through comparison and contrast we learn who we are and who we are not. Libra is really more like the dating game, with relationship choice and commitment (and the sex!) coming from Scorpio.
This is why Libra actually needs freedom, a lesson from its polarity Aries. We must experience the variety in order to know what is best for us. Through its ruler Venus, Libra learns the value of, and desire for, relationships. Libra, so aware of others, can get caught up in a need to be needed or completed through a relationship. While we always evolve through relationships (two genders in our species), we can do this through co-dependency or self-reliance. Co-dependency comes with inequalities of giving and receiving. Self-reliance creates better balance along the giving/receiving spectrum.
What new relationship patterns do you want to create as the Sun makes its annual passage through Libra? Moon in Libra briefly joins the Sun to add emotional energy. Make the best of it. New Moon and Full Moon rituals are some of the oldest, and most natural, celebration times we have. How do you choose to balance the diversity of your relationships with your own initiative? Where do you need to expend a little more giving, and where do you need to open up to a little more receiving? Know this balance ebbs and flows moment by moment which Libra is actually quite adept at.
October 11/12 - Mercury turns stationary retrograde on October 11/12 at 9 degrees Scorpio. It turns stationary direct on November 1 at 23/24 degrees Libra with the highlight of its retrograde cycle (interior conjunction to the Sun) on October 23 at 0/1 degree Scorpio. The few days around the times Mercury changes directions tend to be frustrating times. Things just do not move forward as we desire it to be. Usually there is good reason.
Planetary retrogrades allow us time to review and re-evaluate things. How many times have you wished to change an old pattern? Bless the planetary retrogrades which energize change. This time Mercury in Scorpio runs into power issues and lessons. We could either be frustrated with things we cannot control, or feelings of being controlled by forces outside of ourselves.
Scorpio is the archetype which teaches us about forces of power larger than ourselves. Whereas Libra was balancing those forces of power between us and others, now Scorpio dumps us right back into that un-equal arena again. These outside forces of power (people, situations, bodies of knowledge, whatever) make us aware of something lacking within ourselves.
We are attracted to these forces of power – separating (“bad”) and returning (“good”) – in order to evolve and become something we have yet to become. We merge with these forces of power and osmosis them into us, becoming more than we were. The trick is to avoid becoming co-dependent upon these outward sources of power. Once we osmosis them inwardly, we must then detach back into greater self-reliance (Venus and its ruler Taurus, polarity of Scorpio). We empower ourselves for better or worse. Scorpio is that famous tug between “good and evil.”
So as Mercury turns retrograde in Scorpio our minds are tuned into the power struggles and manipulations. We can become aware of the games we play in order to be secure, and the games others could play with us. The retrograde lesson is stepping away from the control battle and self-empowering. We need to mentally search for greater self-reliance and then empower it in others. This is much easier said than done, and requires “willpower.” Make the effort, again and again through this retrograde.
When Mercury has you so frustrated you could scream, or strike out at another, or make statements you might regret – step back and get some major exercise. Breathe. Reach forward to Sagittarius and take a hike, even on the treadmill. What is the emotional process taking place? How can you empower your self? Breathe it through and make an effort to calm down. It may not change your plan of action or choices of words. Just know things will be received better if you come from a place of self-empowerment. How can you make this happen for you? Mercury retrograde in Scorpio is about metamorphosis. Go for it.
