Anyway, just some background on other retro planets;
October 8 - ... Here is another of the Mars retro lessons. In this case, there are old realities we need to let go of. It may be work or family situations. It may be love relationships. Mars is learning the lesson that these old emotional patterns keep us stuck in old scenarios. Old habits die hard come to mind.
October 8/9 - ... This year has found us in the middle of Venus and Mars retrograde cycles which come every other year. So what no longer works in your world of relationships? Mercury is almost retrograde again so go for the conversations on how you would like to bring more spirituality into your relating. The definition of soul mates is two people who are relating for the purpose of evolving each person’s spiritual growth. It is the foundation of the relationship, with or without sexuality involved, and the freedom for one to move on is always there.
October 9 - Jupiter makes the third and final waning square to Uranus retrograde on October 9 at 15/16 degrees Sagittarius-Pisces. ... Jupiter is in waning (finishing up) patterns to the three outer unconscious planets – Uranus, Neptune and Pluto – while it is in a waxing (building) pattern to Saturn, our individuated consciousness. These last quarter squares – a crisis in consciousness itself – to Uranus are the most intense aspects of 2007 for Jupiter. What are we in crisis over?
October 10/11 - The New Moon of Libra is October 10/11 at 17/18 degrees. This is an annual time to set intent for new beginnings in all our relationships. Libra teaches us about the diversity of people and relationships on the planet. Through comparison and contrast we learn who we are and who we are not. Libra is really more like the dating game, with relationship choice and commitment (and the sex!) coming from Scorpio.
This is why Libra actually needs freedom, a lesson from its polarity Aries. We must experience the variety in order to know what is best for us. Through its ruler Venus, Libra learns the value of, and desire for, relationships. Libra, so aware of others, can get caught up in a need to be needed or completed through a relationship. While we always evolve through relationships (two genders in our species), we can do this through co-dependency or self-reliance. Co-dependency comes with inequalities of giving and receiving. Self-reliance creates better balance along the giving/receiving spectrum.
What new relationship patterns do you want to create as the Sun makes its annual passage through Libra? Moon in Libra briefly joins the Sun to add emotional energy. Make the best of it. New Moon and Full Moon rituals are some of the oldest, and most natural, celebration times we have. How do you choose to balance the diversity of your relationships with your own initiative? Where do you need to expend a little more giving, and where do you need to open up to a little more receiving? Know this balance ebbs and flows moment by moment which Libra is actually quite adept at.
October 11/12 - Mercury turns stationary retrograde on October 11/12 at 9 degrees Scorpio. It turns stationary direct on November 1 at 23/24 degrees Libra with the highlight of its retrograde cycle (interior conjunction to the Sun) on October 23 at 0/1 degree Scorpio. The few days around the times Mercury changes directions tend to be frustrating times. Things just do not move forward as we desire it to be. Usually there is good reason.
Planetary retrogrades allow us time to review and re-evaluate things. How many times have you wished to change an old pattern? Bless the planetary retrogrades which energize change. This time Mercury in Scorpio runs into power issues and lessons. We could either be frustrated with things we cannot control, or feelings of being controlled by forces outside of ourselves.
Scorpio is the archetype which teaches us about forces of power larger than ourselves. Whereas Libra was balancing those forces of power between us and others, now Scorpio dumps us right back into that un-equal arena again. These outside forces of power (people, situations, bodies of knowledge, whatever) make us aware of something lacking within ourselves.
We are attracted to these forces of power – separating (“bad”) and returning (“good”) – in order to evolve and become something we have yet to become. We merge with these forces of power and osmosis them into us, becoming more than we were. The trick is to avoid becoming co-dependent upon these outward sources of power. Once we osmosis them inwardly, we must then detach back into greater self-reliance (Venus and its ruler Taurus, polarity of Scorpio). We empower ourselves for better or worse. Scorpio is that famous tug between “good and evil.”
So as Mercury turns retrograde in Scorpio our minds are tuned into the power struggles and manipulations. We can become aware of the games we play in order to be secure, and the games others could play with us. The retrograde lesson is stepping away from the control battle and self-empowering. We need to mentally search for greater self-reliance and then empower it in others. This is much easier said than done, and requires “willpower.” Make the effort, again and again through this retrograde.
When Mercury has you so frustrated you could scream, or strike out at another, or make statements you might regret – step back and get some major exercise. Breathe. Reach forward to Sagittarius and take a hike, even on the treadmill. What is the emotional process taking place? How can you empower your self? Breathe it through and make an effort to calm down. It may not change your plan of action or choices of words. Just know things will be received better if you come from a place of self-empowerment. How can you make this happen for you? Mercury retrograde in Scorpio is about metamorphosis. Go for it.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29999180.post-37033724044176267882007-10-07T13:43:00.000-04:002007-10-07T13:43:00.000-04:00ps Glad to meet you Paul, I look forward to readin...ps Glad to meet you Paul, I look forward to reading more. :)
Blessings!
*Connie*Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29999180.post-41973332381371962132007-10-07T13:40:00.000-04:002007-10-07T13:40:00.000-04:00Keiko Cacao Ti, my b'day is 10-24:) I think our re...Keiko Cacao Ti, my b'day is 10-24:) I think our reputation is fine. lol!
