Taking Care of Zoey

I meant to write before about Zoey - my beautiful black cat, who recently became an indoor cat who is adjusting just amazingly!!! He is so great.. maybe needs a bit more attention than he used to . He used to have many, many friends on Winston Ave, where I lived in the beaches. I thought it was going to be hard for him to adjust but he seems incredibly fine.

Well, this is the 1st time leaving him since we moved in for more than a day or two but I think he will be fine. I have 2 people looking in on him - both from Rawlicious, one who lives in my building - how convenient!! ..and as of the 17th or 18th, Daniela, who will be here from Brazil, might be here staying with him for awhile till I get back. So Zoey will have company!!

He is transitioning to his raw cat food well - although I have to mix it half and half with another canned cat food and he definitely likes the Wild Salmon the best. But he loves it.. this is the only thing he will meow at me about sometimes.. breakfast! He used to be solely on dried food. Maybe one day he will be all raw like me! : )
Website is here: Pets4Life ..and I get it at Global Pet Foods (great name, lol) here at 2100 Bloor West. ..no website, but I did just find another raw pet food available there & across the street at Bark & Fitz! PAWS-itively Raw Foods - cute name! I will have to check about that!

Another great thing I just discovered at Global is a cat litter that is biodegradable and that you can flush down the toilet. This is amazing!! Cat litter is usually made out of some kind of clay, or seems like a clay and will destroy your toilet if you flush it (I hear) and you often have to use plastic bags to dispose of it .. well, being new to the indoor cat scene, its bad enough having to clean the litter box - but this makes it not really bad at all.. just scoop & flush. It still clumps, like the clay one but is all natural and smells clean, it's made of wheat ..what a great development and product they have come up with here!!

Zoey! I love cats, always have. :)

I don't have a cat right now but when I do again, I will be keeping these things in mind.
