Our soul, our light, our destiny

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is not our darkness, but our light, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves ‘Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?’ Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small doesn’t serve the world. There’s nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give others permission to do the same. As we’re liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."
~ Originally written by Marianne Williamson in her book A Return to Love, later made famous by Nelson Mandela

"Thanks be to you, the holy Son of god. For as you were created, you contain all things within your Self. And you are still as God created you nor can you dim the light of your perfection. In your heart the Heart of God is laid. He holds you dear, because you are Himself. All gratitude belongs to you, because of what you are."
~Lesson 197 A Course In Miracles

The destiny of man is in his own soul. ~ Herodotus
