Appreciating Fun Mandates and Ochre-robed Gurus with Red Curry

I love my mandate - I just received this from a close artist and spiritual advisor friend along with congrats on completion of filming stage 1.. it is as follows:

When in doubt, show up early. Think less. Feel more. Ask once. Give thanks often. Expect the best. Appreciate everything. Never give up. Make it fun. Lead. Invent. Regroup. Wink. Chill. Smile. And live as if your success was inevitable, and so it shall be.

Fun, I have such wonderful friends!! Much love & Hugs!!

& I am sooo enjoying my day off!

I just tasted a cooked red curry sauce.. it was highly recommended by an Indian friend of mine.. and I am thinking of how to translate it into raw. This is my favorite thing, creating new dishes and flavours with raw foods..

I have an idea I am excited to try one day soon.. soon, while I still remember the taste.

I am reading a book which I have just started and have already fallen in love with, Autobiography of a Yogi by Paramhansa Yoganananda.

..bed-time story excerpt:

"Another day I might have replied impatiently; now I wiped my tear-swollen face and meekly obeyed the summons. Together Habu and I set out for a distant market place in the Bengali section of Benares. The ungentle Indian sun was not yet at zenith as we made our purchases in bazaars. We pushed our way through the colorful medley of housewives, guides, priests, simply-clad widows, dignified Brahmins, and the ubiquitous holy bulls. Passing an inconspicuous lane, I turned my head and surveyed the narrow length.
A Christlike man in the ochre robes of a swami stood motionless at the end of the road. Instantly and anciently familiar he seemed; my gaze fell hungrily for a trice. The doubt asssailed me.
"You are confusing this wandering monk with someone known to you," I thought. "Dreamer, walk on."
After ten minutes, I felt a heavy numbness in my feet. As though turned to stone, they were unable to carry me further. Laboriously I turned around; my feet regained normalcy. I faced in the opposite direction; again the curious weight oppressed me.
"The saint is magnettically drawing me to him!" With this thought, I heaped my parcels into the arms of Habu. He had been observing my erratic foorwork with amazement, and now burst into laughter." ...

Sweet Dreams!

I recommend Chef Dan's recipes. He has a recipe for 'red curry' (it's called Tempeh in red curry) and it's really good.

Abhiuday, it came very very highly recommended and is every bit as good as claimed. Loving it!! : ) Great to hear from you!

Thanks Winona. yes I remember seeing Chef Dans site.. haven't downloaded recipes yet though.. maybe. I want to try on my own first. It's actually a Malai Koftha dish, the sweet red sauce in it.. so delicious.
But thank you for the recommendation! Hugs.
