80-10-10, final notes on the parasite cleanse, Markus Rothkranz

Good Morning!

1st thing. I mentioned yesterday all the 80-10-10er's gasping at my crazy smoothie concoction yesterday.. lol But - I do want to add that I realize that this pure way of eating is probably the best way to eat over-all. I know people who are following this diet & swear by it & say it is the best. I do trust this is the case. It is just too strict a diet for me right now. I love the way I eat, feel great ..I would love to try it sometime but I know I am just not ready for it.

I really appreciate the knowledge that came from it in helping me with my parasite cleanse dilemma. (esp Marjorie (Greenmama) & Aranka- Thank you! ..& you too Shell, always appreciate your input!) But I got a lot from the 80-10-10, natural diet way of seeing things..

So as far as the cleanse, I ended up almost finishing the bottle of pills & the tincture, they were very harsh herbs and I felt not very great while I was taking it - emotional, sensitive, & kind of down. (Although a girl at work said my down was like her up : ) I realized that they were not only killing any parasites or whatever I may have had, which I really doubt I had much or many of, but killing my life force as well. Aranka told me that if I had parasites from being a previous meat-eater it probably would take about 5 years of eating raw to clean out my body of them naturally.. that seemed like a long time. But she asked, whats the rush? I was not feeling bad, the opposite in fact.. I have been feeling great.

I think sometimes I look around at the unhealthy people around me & that makes me want to run in the other direction. I am so happy now that I have finished with that idea that I needed to do this cleanse.. it was intense, for me anyway. & I feel so good & happy to be back!!!

Note - Sometimes, however, a parasite cleanse can be a very good thing.. like after traveling or for meat eaters etc.

ok, 2nd & the main thing I wanted to post is this link I came across last night at Connie's Naked Food Cafe:

http://www.markusrothkranz.com/markus_health.html

Markus has a video, if you scroll down & click on the link for the 9 minute video trailer.

Its worth the watch.. I found it kind of funny but maybe thats just me, it is inspiring in a bleach blond, show off the body, California kind of way.

I really like his good & bad list which I am posting for those not going to the page.. but really, go to the page!! His work is pretty impressive also.. he's a very talented man.

Raw karmic energy and Jet Fuel

What a busy weekend! It's been great!
The Chocosol Party was soooo good. I am elevated when I am around them. It's interesting, and this is another thing I have noticed being raw, how people respond, react, behave in your presence is different. I went to another party yesterday - have been around a lot of people in the past couple days. I was thinking it was the raw people who really look you in the eye.. a real energy exchange happens.. but I get it with some people who are not raw.. but it came to me that I think it is a karma kind of thing.. people with high (good) karmic energy tend to look you right in the eye.. send out love.. and people who are low tend to look away, avoid the eye contact as much as possible. & its more than just looking in the eye, that can be a confidence thing also.. but its the energy.. and being raw you are sooo sensitive to all these energies that come off things.

Thats one thing I love about the more raw you go.. the more clear things are.. and not only clear but almost prismatic, I feel kind of psychedelic.. its like very, very, very good drugs. .. just connected with everything
& in love.

& Now I am off to the gym. am impressed with myself this morning because I am up so early, (instead of still being in bed like I could easily be - my day off) - have my list of many things to do today ..and plan on getting so much done.

1 of these things includes experimenting with cheesecake recipes cause I told someone at the Chocosol party that I made a really good one before & promised them I would look the recipe up & post it. I can't find it, didn't copy into my recipe book.. so I am on it again. & I have chocolate fudge shells in the fridge waiting for the cheesecake filling.. I will post on it soon. (& I am going to make a regular crust also)

For right now I have just made this crazy Jet Fuel concoction..
I can hear the 80-10-10er's gasping. but here goes:

Jet Fuel

1 c sunflower sprouts
1 c pea green sprouts (stems cut off - just green leafy tops)
1 T chia seeds
1 -2 c water
Pulse blend and then add:

1 banana
1 mango
1 T bee pollen
2 T goji berries
3 T raw cacao
1 c blueberries
1 oz E3Live
2 t maca
1 t ginseng (siberian)
afterthought:
2 caps stem enhance
1 cap phenylmine (just for fun)

Blend all together & drink with one cap of cayenne - to speed everything up!

ok, let's see how this works.. am off to the gym 1st, then flying around town (I don't have a car today)- a bunch of errands, then back.. loud wild music and painting this aft, followed by cookie & cheesecake making, & then the house will quiet down & get back to normal just in time for dinner.
This day is going to be so much fun. I am going to enjoy it to the fullest and sprinkle and spread waves of love everywhere I go to everyone I see. Radiate the love vibes.
Live and be love.. (I think the jet fuel is kicking in! - Oh, I wish I could share this!)
I love you!

Color Theory, wheatgrass & cayenne, Urantia, Chocosol

Things going on in my life and changing my perception of the world around me:

The biggie: Conversations with Horace about color. hmm, how to explain this one. I had a hard time with it.. it's like I know what he was saying but couldn't really accept it because if I accept this thought it is going to change everything else I know and believe about reality. Every time you accept another truth it changes everything else.. because everything is connected.

(Like going raw.. I am the same person but I am completely different. Everything has changed)

& once you learn and accept something there is no going back.

but if someone is telling you something and you don't want to deal or accept it, your brain can somehow just shut off, tune it out.. this happens very often.. I know I must have done this a lot. I see people doing it all the time. Like the brain is saying "Can't handle, can't handle, change the channel"

ok, It started with him telling me how if you mix blue and yellow, you are not getting another color.. its still blue and yellow. It looks green but it is still the blue and yellow there.. they have not gone anywhere. Every color is contained in every other color.. and it is the light and how it reflects off the pigment which gives us the colors. and actually it is not even the (say paint) that has the color.. everything is grey really, colorless.. color is only formulated in our brains. That's why some people are colorblind, the brain is not perceiving color the same way as most people.. something in the brain is different and therefor their perception is different. In fact, I have no way of knowing what color you are seeing.. I only know what color I see.. we could all see a different color, we don't know exactly what is going on in someone elses head.. we know that we agree on red & blue.

Think about color on another level. can you describe the color red? or blue? you can't.. you can draw associations but that could be anything.. if I was blind you couldn't tell me what a color looks like. These things are not real.. not material. Like beauty.. you can't describe beauty either.. it's something in the head, its a thought, an essence.. it is not real. I mean no it is Real, but its not material. Sometimes its hard explaining concepts..

I struggled sometimes with the color one.. I had to let it go.. I felt myself losing my mind.. it was like thinking of infinity. Thats why sometimes scientists go crazy ..thinking on things too much.
and all in all it doesn't really matter. It's not going to change my perception of green or beauty.. it is just a way of entertaining my mind I guess..
& sometimes I feel like I have no choice.. its who I am, it's destiny, what i need to do. I need to et this & I need to come tell you for some reason.
Horace said that he often comes in & says to himself that he is not going to tell me things. Because he always comes in & tells me so much. I got called into the office by Zara (to save me) the other day. Everyone went, are you all right?? He can really get into it.. Simon says 'Horace comes in every day for wheat grass but its really to talk to you, he doesn't even like wheat grass." & burst out laughing.. Horace is the best, hes a great friend now. & he says he never talks like this to other people, tries not to me.. but for some reason when he comes in it just all comes out. And maybe there is someone out there who needs this information.
& go figure they would find it on a raw food blog???

oh yeah, and i should really be talking about food & health.
ok, heres a good one.. a few days ago this guy comes in & asks for 2 ounces of wheatgrass. Then when its sitting there he asks if i ave any cayenne. I bring over my big shaker of it. He asks for a spoon.. then he takes off the cover, puts a huge heaping teaspoon of cayenne on top of the wheatgrass ..it was actually last Friday, he said it had been a long week and he needed some energy. & then he downed it. he said if you can drink it in one gulp the cayenne can bypass the mouth and go right down & then its ok. I think he missed a bit.. but he didn't even have water after.. just glazed over & went & laid back for 15-20 min on the couch. Then he was gone..that was the most amazing thing I had seen in awhile. I wonder how he felt after.. I wonder if I am ever going to try it.

I am excited today.. yesterday someone said they had a Urantia book and asked if I would like it. & said they would bring it in today. I have been really wanting one of those!

& Chocosol party tonight, opening of the Cacao Loft on St Joseph st. Graham came in yesterday.. 1st time I have seen him since he left for Mexico - 1/2 a year ago. They made their 1st batch of chocolate in their new kitchen yesterday.. the Chocosol chocolate draught is over!!! Yay!
Wishing you all a perception altering day! Those are really good ones!

Name Karma

The pic doesn't have anything to do with the topic.. well, it's from koochekoo's blog, so maybe it does ; )

I was thinking about name karma. It's very interesting.. and although I am sure its not always the case, quite often a persons name will give you some insight into them. Not to mention I am sure we are given clues in our life. I am thinking personally here, my real name is Robin Robinson.. not to mention my middle name is Roberta. ( I usually don't share this with everyone.. and now I am, oh well ; ) ..but, think about it: Ro x3= Raw, Raw, Raw. The universe probably had a good laugh over that one. I married into the Robinson part, I had just had a baby when we got married & the family unit issue seemed more important than the name.. and in fact, I barely thought about the name, as a name.

I was thinking about Spencer Tunick, the artist who photographs all the naked people all over the world (tunic - men wore them in the greco-roman civilization - often under the toga.. and were always taking them off, toga parties - remember? lol)

and my son, Nicholas.. are all Nicholas's very active, seems that way.. and all Brandon's active in a more wild kind of way.. I have been watching them, seems that way to me.

lots of examples, but what I am really thinking about is all the Matt's in the raw food world.. do some names really lend toward a certain personality or type of person? I think often the answer is Yes. Raw Matt's:
Matt Monarch - Raw Spirit
Matt Amsden - Rawvolution
Matt Samuelson - great Raw chef (partner of Elaine Love)
Matthew Kenney - Raw Food - Real World
Matthew Engelhart - Cafe Gratitude

I love the quote from this last link:

"Abundance can be had by simply consciously receiving what has already been given." Sufi Saying

Have an abundant day! Say yes.

N.B. brook and Mom's painting

I have so many things on my mind that I could write about.. but I have very limited time. Have to leave for work very soon. So, no time for those philosophical or websurfing thoughts which are circulating around in my head.

& Hopefully Mom doesn't mind. I am posting the pics she sent me last night. She went to go sketch with her friend while her car was getting fixed yesterday. Mom is 100% raw, living in NB.. (and is one of my favorite people in the whole world!) I think I'm due for a NB visit soon, I am craving a dive in the ocean! ..but this is inland.
Isn't it beautiful here?

Mom is a true artist, she paints all the time. Sometimes she stays up all night painting. How cool is that!?
ps I just called, she's ok with me posting these.

ps. ps. her website is here

Have a great day, make for yourself a beautiful one and enjoy this great planet!

Lettuce Boats - Veg in Tahini dressing, The Raw Greek, Matt Monarch and Angela Stokes

I made these lettuce boats last night for dinner. They were so good. The dressing was so simple, but amazing.

Tahini Dressing

1 heaping T of tahini
1/2 lemon - juiced,
1 garlic clove - chopped
salt & pepper & cayenne

(& a couple drops of something I can't even find here on the internet, called Spice for Life, it was given as a promotion by The Best Food Ever & contains about 20 million ingredients. It's a crazy powerful spicy liquid. ..am just tasting it. A dash of tabasco could substitute.)

Diced vegetables: tomato, cucumber, red onion, zucchini ..and some chopped cilantro.

It was so good. My husband thought it tasted Greek.

& speaking of Greek, I found this great Greek Raw link - The Raw Greek. Mmm.. her food looks so good!

I just received an announcement on Facebook that Matt Monarch and Angela Stokes are going to be here on the 21st. click here for more details.

I love this video by Matt. Randy, my brother, had it up on my website before.. but I just went & looked & it's not there. hmm.. I was so happy when he found it (on his own) & put it up.. (he's not raw) I always get excited when someone gets into the raw thing! ..anyway, here it is:

Fruit salad with Strawberry Macadamia Cream Dip and more Raw Food Blogs

I made Kaiya a fruit salad with a Strawberry Macadamia Cream Dip that looked like this yesterday. The dip was made from 1/2 c macadamias, 6 strawberries, 1/4 c agave, 1/4 c water, 1-2T lemon juice all blended together. Really good!

I'm still doing the paro-parasite cleanse & not eating agave (I am eating fruit), so I tasted the dip but it was hard not to sit down with the whole bowl & eat it all!

I have found some new raw blogs lately:

Raw Love

Raw foods are about love. Raw food is Love!

Eating raw fills you with life energy. This leads to optimism, feelings of bliss, happiness, joy. You see the light in things more.. are drawn to the light, to color..you are filled with light.

When you eat raw you are filling your body with the purest water available. Water which is filtered through plants - this pure prismatic source of water reflects the light (plant energy) inside of you.
It's no wonder raw foodists feel so amazing!!!

Not to mention karma and feeling great about not eating or harming animals, not polluting the planet nearly as much, if at all..depending on the rest of your lifestyle.

Raw living naturally makes you love yourself. How can you not? ..you are doing the very best for yourself and feeling great. When you have love within yourself, when you are full of love you have love for everyone and everything else. It is when you are empty that you need love from other sources, go around looking for love, seeking it out.. and you can get it temporarily but soon you will be empty again. A true satiating source of love has to come from within.

& when you truly are full of love you don't want to hurt anything else, other people, animals, the planet. You just want to share the love, to give it out.. & the more you have, the more you have.. it's a cycle. Raw is an upward rotational path. Raw is Love.

Eat raw and feel the love.. Be love!

Micheal Moore's Sicko and Krishnamurti - Energy to create a new culture

I went to see Michael Moore's new movie- Sicko last night.
It was looking forward to seeing it but it was much better than I had thought it would be.
If you get a chance.. go see it!

(& who knew France had it so good???...wow!)

Micheal Moore's Sicko (official trailer)

I just finished my Krishnamurti book - Think on These Things. This is the last paragraph of the book, and it feels relevant. Its about Energy.

"You see, when you are young you have abounding energy - energy that makes you want to skip over the hills, reach for the stars. Then, society steps in and tells you to hold that energy within the walls of the prison which it calls respectability. Through education, through every form of sanction and control, that energy is gradually crushed out. But you need more energy, not less, because without immense energy you will never find out what is true. So the problem is not how to curtail energy, but how to maintain and increase it, how to make it independent and continuous - but not at the behest of any belief or society - so that it becomes the movement towards truth, God. Then energy has quite a different significance. As a pebble thrown into a calm lake creates an ever-widening circle, so the action of energy in the direction of what is true creates the waves of a new culture. Then, energy is limitless, immeasurable, and that energy is God."

Time and Space, Mind and Life, the Universe, prophecies, Contact reflex analysis and Rife technology

I didn't make it here yesterday to post, but I did make it to the Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibition at Nathan Phillips Square for a walk through as artists were setting up yesterday morning before work.

I am doing some websurfing this morning - looking up some books, even though I have about a dozen here that I would like to get through.. but I weave back and forth through them - it's all good!

Books on space & time - Einstein's Relativity

& Stephen Hawkings - maybe A brief History in Time, maybe The Universe in a Nutshell.

Horace recommended I get these and read them. He was telling me about how Newtons theory (of gravity, that it is the magnetic force in the Earth holding us down) & Einsteins theory (that the air is material - like fabric and we wade through it) are conflicting theories and yet science can not disprove either of them & in fact will pick from whichever one is more appropriate to go with further theories. Life is a paradox.

He was also telling me how anything you move towards is also moving towards you.. as you move to catch a ball.. the ball is actually coming towards you.. or walking towards a wall, it is actually moving.. but so incredibly slightly, you would never notice.. but it apparently has been proven.

Jon Kabat Zinn
's Mindful Meditation books

(& the the Mind and Life Institute, a group that organizes dialogues between the Dalai Lama and Western scientists to promote deeper understanding of different ways of knowing and probing the nature of mind, emotions, and reality

& finally a book by Daniel Pinchbeck - 2012 The Return Of Quetzalcoatl. Someone at work was reading it and I had read the Mayan Prophecies a few years ago.. which is similiar, both with theories of extremely major world changes in 2012, but each with different dates I think.

also looking up an anti-parasite alternative - using contact reflex analysis and a Rife machine to detect whats in the body & get rid of anything that shouldn't be there using a micro current frequency generator.

& from this site..
Amazing Facts About Your Body
  • Except for your brain cells, 50,000,000 of the cells in your body will have died and been replaced with others, all while you have been reading this sentence.

  • The adult heart beats about 40,000,000 times a year. In one hour, the heart works hard enough to produce enough energy to raise almost one ton of weight one yard from the ground.

  • The liver is often called the body's chemical factory. Scientists have counted 500 different liver functions.

  • The central nervous system is connected to every part of the body by 43 pairs of nerves. Twelve pairs go to and from the brain, and 31 go from the spinal cord. There are nearly 45 miles of nerves running through our bodies.

  • Messages travel along the nerves as electrical impulses. The fastest they travel is about 248 miles per hour.

  • In one square inch of skin there are four yards of nerve fibers, 1300 nerve cells, 100 sweat glands, 3 million cells and three yards of blood vessels.

The point behind all these facts is that your body is a wonderful, complex creation. Like a machine, all of its parts (organs, glands, muscles and tissues) must be in good working condition. Its electrical system (nervous system) must be carrying energy smoothly to all areas. There must not be any short circuits. Finally, it must be fueled with the proper nutrition to keep it functioning, alive and well.

This pic reminded me of a story- My friend once who won a big clear magnifying glass marble. .. and he told me that when he looked into it - the tiny point which touched the surface it was on seemed to him to represent the Now.. and that as it rolled it would be touching different areas.. sometimes it would roll over the same places, many places would never get touched at all..

Wishing you a very special day - 07,07,07! It's a celebrating, meditating, conscious kind of day. Let's heal our bodies, heal the earth and have fun!

Quotes - Kindness, joy, health and peace - It's between you and God

In a world full of sorrow, let us live in joy; In a world full of sickness, let us live in health; In a world full of war, let us live in peace. ~Buddha

People are often unreasonable, illogical and self-centered; Forgive them anyway.

If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives; Be Kind anyway.

If you are successful, you will win some false friends and some true enemies; Succeed anyway.

If you are honest and frank, people may cheat you; Be honest and frank anyway.

What you spend years building, someone could destroy overnight; Build anyway

If you find serenity and happiness, they may be jealous; Be happy anyway.

The good you do today, people will often forget tomorrow; Do good anyway.

Give the world the best you have, and it may never be enough; Give the world the best you've got anyway.

You see, in the final analysis, it is between you and God;
It is never between you and them anyway.

Anastasia book & cedar nuts, International Festival at Harbourfront, new shoes, Young coconuts, Yonge St and Karl Anthony's prayer

Highlights of my life lately:

At work, Friday - a customer, after eating lunch and leaving walks back to the cash where I am and says something about Anastasia. I am amazed.. 'You're reading Anastasia too??' (I have finished book 4 and am trying to get book 5.. trying to order it online but the distributor is out of stock) He tells me that I can get book 5, just 2 blocks away at Seekers (great bookstore!) and that #6 just came out earlier this month! ..& he offered to pick it up for me (at 15$- deal!) and cedar nuts and a cedar pendant for me from the Russians (distributor) when he goes back to see them next week. I am now the proud owner of Book 5 & also a couple packages of cedar nuts which he brought in yesterday for me. Yay!!!

Yesterday at work. I got my kitchen back for the day. It's been a little scary at work.. the cooked foodists are infiltrating, ..it's a profit thing. Money? what's so important about money?? I guess I'm a little naive.. it seems to me that health and happiness are more important.. but, hey, I get it.

Then last night, Mi-san & I went out. The Harbourfront was so much fun!! Live bands, lots of people, International festival, vendors. I found the best shoes!!! Mola Vida! & Claudia is going to try to get a pair of boots made for me without leather - Mi-san & I were suggesting hemp.. and a wallet to match.. she thinks they will do it. I will be sooo happy!

The coconut incident.. we found the Tropical hut with lots & lots of cut-up veggies & they will open young coconuts to drink (the green ones) & then halve them so you can eat the meat after you drink the water out. ..so
1st coconut of the season! Heaven!!!
So, Mi-San gets hers.. and then mine comes and she thinks it is not good.. so he drinks it & opens another, it's the same.. I'm ok with it, hey I've drank worse. but she insists.. so he opens a 3rd.. it's the same. Actually I think it was that it wasn't very mature.. there is not much taste in the really young ones.. the ones that are more mature have more meat & are much sweeter. So this time we leave with our coconuts.. but too embarrassed to go back to get him to open them, Mi-san decides to smash it open herself.. this was the best! It was beautiful out, & we were out right by the water.. she smashes it down and it doesn't break and almost goes into the water. close. She tries again. I am covering to catch it in case it does the same thing.. It does, but swifto me misses it and it goes past, a family is right behind me, it goes past them, I can't get it & then we watch it slowly roll over & right into the water.. maybe its a had to be there thing but it was so hilarious.. we looked at each other & burst out laughing. I was cracking up so hard.. bent over holding my stomache cause it was hurting cause I couldn't stop.. crying & everything.. what a riot! We chalked it up to Karma. .. but then we went & bought another, promised to eat the 1st one, we made up.. it was all good, very fun.

Lets' see.. so much, g2g tho.. Nathan Phillips square - jazz festival, hung outside for 5 min, 35$ to get in. ..looked fun but we headed to Yonge. The Mexican Cultural Festival at Dundas Square. GoVeg.com had a bunch of people with pickets and showing factory farming videos on the corner.. on another corner a bunch of people were playing sets of drums set up.. we liked the kids playing. Happening place.. we walked up to Bloor.. it was great walking along Yonge at night, been awhile. It's getting very Times Squarish down there. Lots of billboards, lights and screens. I love being in that atmosphere sometimes.. lots of people, live music, action, stuff happening.. and tonight fireworks! : )

Leaving you with the video Dorit sent Mi-San & we watched before we left work to go out.

parasite cleanse

Will I survive???

I have just started a parasite cleanse and am drinking a veggie juice as I type this instead of my usual green smoothie. Carrot, celery, spinach, parsley. & I know, I know carrots have a lot of sugar in them. Sugar is a big no-no.. parasites love sugar! Which is the only indication I have that parasites may exist in this body of mine..well, that & I have been reading that it is estimated that over 85% of the population has parasites.. and they say thats a conservative estimation. Parasites are especially found in meat eaters.. I have heard that it is very unlikely that there is any meat eater out there that doesn't have parasites.

I am just wondering how I am going to manage this for a month (15 days on, break for 5,and another 15 day session) I know there are better systems out there for getting rid of parasites.. and more expensive ones - like one using vibrational frequencies.. but I decided to just buy the box of herbs at the health food store & start here.

a few things I have heard to help get rid of them:

Stay away from sugar and anything with yeast.
Things I don't do anyway - don't drink coffee, eat eat, dairy etc.
Do eat garlic.. parasites really don't like that
The don't like pumpkin seeds.
They hate daikon radish juice (from a previous post)
They really don't like cinnamon & oregano.. 2 essential oils that they hate the most. (I'll take some oil of oregano before I leave.)
weekly colonics - to cleanse the colon of the before they can lay eggs again. (yikes)
& I have heard that to get rid of them you can take 1 T psyllium & 1 T red clay very night for 3 months. ..wonder if red is like bentonite.. another trip to the health food store. Another source says to take this mixture after doing the cleanse to clean the colon & flush the out.

I will be doing a more intensive search on here & posting more about this later.. when I have more time & a not runnnning out the door for work! ...later
: )
Be happy!

ps. any info on this or other ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Childrens health

I was about to run out of the house without posting.. have to rush & buy canvasses, cacao butter, etc before going to work.. but then I checked my e-ail & my mom just sent me this.. It's sitting fairly heavy with me. When my children were young I felt like I was fairly health and food conscious and making fairly good choices, preparing home cooked meals almost every night. I was known for my chocolate chip cookies! & then a box of pop tarts here, a box of froot loops there, that can't hurt too much, can it? Ahhh!!! If I only knew then what I know now.. but that's life and we can't change the past.. (or can we? .. but that's another topic,, for another day ; )

She said this was sent to her from her friend Allan:

Food and drug administration is the number one cause of disease and disability in America today. The CDC predicts the children today will be the first generation to not outlive their parents. I have to hold you mothers and grandmothers most accountable, as you usually are making the food choices. Childhood obesity and other health issues are squarely in your hands(The Hand that Rocks the Ladle. Sounds a bit sexist, but the reality is that women normally make the food choices for the family. Convenience can no longer be the criterium you use to make meal choices. Your children have to have freshly prepared, unpackaged, unadulterated foods to maintain health. This means time in the kitchen for someone. You can enlist the rest of the family's help, but the onus of a healthful meal in front of your child is on you mom. Our children won't do better until you do better. As for you men, usually you are the main obstacle for mothers not making healthful changes in the menu at home. This has to be a cooperative effort with both parents setting an example.
Churches and schools must be involved also. Food has become what I call Baptist pornography. Many churches lure members to functions with the promise of promiscuous eating. Remember gluttony is considered as much a deadly sin as the other seven. Hold your schools accountable to prepare and serve healthful foods. The movie "Supersize Me" showcases how much better children do academically when they are given healthful food. There is nothing more fundamental to the health of your child than what you feed them each day. Don't let them down.

Thoughts on nakedness and consciousness

Here is my thought of the morning..

We are naked... all the time, everywhere we go. We put clothes on and cover ourselves, and deceive ourselves that we aren't but we are naked all the time.. we come into this world naked and we leave naked. We own nothing.. we don't really own the clothes we wear, we don't own the cars we drive, nor the houses we live in. We come into this world owning nothing and we leave owning nothing.. think about it. We think we own things but really we don't ..we are lulled into a false sense of ownership. I sometimes feel like this is why people need control.. because we have no ownership. We have this feeling that we should be owning something or we want to but we don't. All money, power, prestige is an illusion.. it is not lasting.. Love is lasting, beauty and creativity and inner peace are lasting. But any material thing can be taken from you at any time. Think about it. A war could start right now.. not only your clothes but your country could be taken from you. Nothing is permanent.. everything is changing.. we come into this world for a short time ..naked, we leave naked but while we are here we have the beautiful opportunity to share from the fruits of this Earth, to experience beauty..the incredible fathomless intricacy of nature, to experience love on this material plane.. to eat delicious foods, to make friends and hold hands, share thoughts, to laugh, to cry.. but all we really have is this bit of consciousness.. this bit of awareness we are blessed with for a period of time in this material form.

Enjoy all the things you are given to enjoy while here.

Imagine if everyone took off their false sense of illusion of ownership and decided to just live and enjoy life and share. : )

Laugh. love.. enjoy your body!

Imagine everyone with healthy bodies being happy. ...& Naked. lol

& Thats my thought for the day.

Make it a beautiful one!

Pure food, Clear Mind

"If your blood is formed from eating pure foods, your brain will function in a manner that will surprise you. Your former life will take on the appearance of a dream, and for the first time in your existence your consciousness awakens to a real self-consciousness.

Your mind, your thinking, your ideals, your aspirations and your philosophy changes fundamentally in such a way as to beggar description.

Your soul will shout for joy and triumph over all misery of life, leaving it all behind you. For the first time you will feel a vibration of vitality through your body (like a slight electric current) that shakes you delightfully."

~ Prof. Arnold Ehret from his book Rational Fasting

"Take care of your body with steadfast fidelity. The soul must see through the eyes alone, and if they are dim, the whole world is clouded." ~ Johann Wolfgang VanGoethe

Krishnaurti and peas, Love and quinoa, Education and EFA's

A picture of my little slice of Heaven yesterday, out on my back deck, just after getting in from grocery shopping.. piles of fruits & vegetables.. but my favorite find was this basket of peas. I haven't had fresh peas from the pod since last year and I couldn't wait to get home & eat them. I sat out on the deck in the sunshine, ate over 1/2 the basket and read my really, really good book.
Ahhhh..
I love summer!

I forgot to mention yesterday another great recent memory.. and that is Nuramina (s/p?) a most beautiful African/Ethiopian woman (Ethiopian women have the most amazing bone structure in the world I think, so long and slender and elegant!) Anyway, after coming in a few days previously & hearing I was raw, she came back with a dish she prepared for me.. and it was quiet that afternoon at work so I got to sit down and enjoy a meal with her.. it was great. She made a dish with sprouted quinoa & peas. ..maybe this is what started my pea craving?
She makes various trail mixes, which she sells at St Lawrence Market (she also gives massages. & she makes a package of ground hemp, flax, sesame seeds etc, which she soaks and dries and then grinds.. it is great to top on cereal or fruit or anywhere!

Analogies (cause they can be better than real life! - I love analogies)

On relationships - 'It's like craving the bread you had when you were a kid and then meeting a baker who can bake this same bread and you fall in love.. but it's the bread you really want.' ..although you don't even realize that there is a raw bread maker who dehydrates a wayyy better bread, not only more delicious but more sustaining and healthy as well, right around the corner and you never even knew he/she was there.

double analogy! cool
& 1 more, from Krishnaurti (p30-31):

"..very few know how to live. Most of us merely survive, we somehow drag along, and therefore life becomes a dreadful thing. Really to live requires a great deal of love, a great feeling for silence, a great simplicity with an abundance of experience; it requires a mind that is capable of thinking very clearly, that is not bound by prejudice or superstition, by hope or fear. All this is life, and if you are not being educated to live, then education has no meaning. You may learn to be very tidy, have good manners and you and you may pass all of your examinations; but, to give primary importance to all these superficial things when the whole structure of society is crumbling, is like cleaning and polishing your fingernails while the house is burning down. You see, nobody talks to you about all this, nobody goes into it with you. As you spend day after day studying certain subjects - mathematics, history, geography - so also you should spend a great deal of time talking about these deeper matters, because this makes for richness of life."

The Krishnaurti book I am reading talks a lot about our education system.. and just as my kids are all finishing exams. They actually finished last week.. they are all in high school now.. Thats a lot of school work. I often thought when I was young that if I had kids I would home school them. It didn't turn out that way.. but I really admire the parents who are doing it!

k, lots to do..
Fly high, Dive deep, Explore ..& Have an adventurous, very fun day!
