Random day - Flowers, quotes, recipes, Stephen Hart and 6 Billion others

These are pictures of flowers in my neighbourhood. I took them with my new camera.. they will be used as subjects in a few upcoming paintings. My post today is taken from the randomer than random (although we know nothing is random) files. That means today is a fun day! : ) Random days always are!

When you have only 2 pennies left in the world, buy a loaf of bread with one, (Raw, of course) and a lily with the other” Chinese proverb

This is a link to a new friend of mine's website, Stephen Hart. We have been sharing recipes and raw ideas for awhile and I could write a whole post of info .. but just in case I want to make sure I at least post his website: www.hartworks.org/wellness.html There is a lot of info on healing MS & more here! & I love the travel sprouting set-up!!!

This is cool also! 6 Billion Others

I saw a weed today
that had the majesty and
beauty of the most
perfect flower.

Can it be that
Life, indeed, depends
entirely on how we choose
to perceive it?

"Our greatest glory is not in never falling; but in rising every time we fall." – Confucius

I was a doctor in my dream last night. How cool is that!!!! very. The same people I work with in real life I was working with there in this very very cool old mansion.. I think it was a fasting retreat also. But I was taking patients. Think I had just become a doctor, a bit of a novice.. but everything went really smoothly. I think I was divinely guided. But of course we all are always!

Recipes from Vegan Fusion. They are not all raw, but there are a few - Zaphods Live Chi tabouli, Cashew Cheeze, Live Fettucini Alfredo etc .. and there are some great ideas to take from the cooked & tranform-translate into wonderful living food creations!

Micheal Moore's Sicko and Krishnamurti - Energy to create a new culture

I went to see Michael Moore's new movie- Sicko last night.
It was looking forward to seeing it but it was much better than I had thought it would be.
If you get a chance.. go see it!

(& who knew France had it so good???...wow!)

Micheal Moore's Sicko (official trailer)

I just finished my Krishnamurti book - Think on These Things. This is the last paragraph of the book, and it feels relevant. Its about Energy.

"You see, when you are young you have abounding energy - energy that makes you want to skip over the hills, reach for the stars. Then, society steps in and tells you to hold that energy within the walls of the prison which it calls respectability. Through education, through every form of sanction and control, that energy is gradually crushed out. But you need more energy, not less, because without immense energy you will never find out what is true. So the problem is not how to curtail energy, but how to maintain and increase it, how to make it independent and continuous - but not at the behest of any belief or society - so that it becomes the movement towards truth, God. Then energy has quite a different significance. As a pebble thrown into a calm lake creates an ever-widening circle, so the action of energy in the direction of what is true creates the waves of a new culture. Then, energy is limitless, immeasurable, and that energy is God."

Quotes - Kindness, joy, health and peace - It's between you and God

In a world full of sorrow, let us live in joy; In a world full of sickness, let us live in health; In a world full of war, let us live in peace. ~Buddha

People are often unreasonable, illogical and self-centered; Forgive them anyway.

If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives; Be Kind anyway.

If you are successful, you will win some false friends and some true enemies; Succeed anyway.

If you are honest and frank, people may cheat you; Be honest and frank anyway.

What you spend years building, someone could destroy overnight; Build anyway

If you find serenity and happiness, they may be jealous; Be happy anyway.

The good you do today, people will often forget tomorrow; Do good anyway.

Give the world the best you have, and it may never be enough; Give the world the best you've got anyway.

You see, in the final analysis, it is between you and God;
It is never between you and them anyway.
-Mother Theresa

"My religion is kindness."

Pure food, Clear Mind

"If your blood is formed from eating pure foods, your brain will function in a manner that will surprise you. Your former life will take on the appearance of a dream, and for the first time in your existence your consciousness awakens to a real self-consciousness.

Your mind, your thinking, your ideals, your aspirations and your philosophy changes fundamentally in such a way as to beggar description.

Your soul will shout for joy and triumph over all misery of life, leaving it all behind you. For the first time you will feel a vibration of vitality through your body (like a slight electric current) that shakes you delightfully."

~ Prof. Arnold Ehret from his book Rational Fasting

"Take care of your body with steadfast fidelity. The soul must see through the eyes alone, and if they are dim, the whole world is clouded." ~ Johann Wolfgang VanGoethe

Quotes - Pure, clear rmind, Peace & Happiness

Clear mind is like the full moon in the sky. Sometimes clouds come and cover it, but the moon is always behind them. Clouds go away, then the moon shines brightly. So don't worry about clear mind: it is always there. When thinking comes, behind it is clear mind. When thinking goes, there is only clear mind. Thinking comes and goes, comes and goes, You must not be attached to the coming or the going. ~Zen Master Seung Sahn

If you live the sacred and despise the ordinary, you are still bobbing in the ocean of delusion. ~Lin-Chi

We are what we think. All that we are arises with our thoughts. With our thoughts we make the world. Speak or act wih an impure mind And trouble will follow you As the wheel follows the ox that draws the cart. ... Speak or act with a pure mind And happiness will follow you As your shadow, unshakable. ~Buddha

Nothing can bring you peace but yourself. ~Ralph Waldo Emerson

Pure consciousness, Pain and Suffering, Living Everything

Thoughts

Maybe this is all just a dream.. pure consciousness. Everything we take as physical is not really.. it's just a thought. I woke up thinking about dreams.. and how we are made in the image of God. & if we dream, then He must dream.. Maybe our day is His dream & our night is our dream.. which is still also His dream. ..Have I lost anyone yet? Think about it.

I read this yesterday & ave been thinking about it - Pain and Sickness are the result of wrong decisions we have made in our lives.

Live Everything

I want to beg you as much as you can, to be patient toward all that is unsolved in your heart and to try to love the questions themselves like locked rooms and like books that are written in a very foreign tongue. Do not now seek answers, which cannot be given you because you would not be able to live them. And the point is, to live everything. Live the questions now. Perhaps you will then gradually, without noticing it, live along some distant day into the answer. Perhaps you do carry within yourself the possibility of shaping and forming as a particularly happy and pure way of living; train yourself to it - but take whatever comes with great trust, and if only it comes out of your own will, out of some need of your innermost being, take it upon yourself and hate nothing.

the Truth

"People tend to avoid the truth about health because once they realize and accept the truth, great effort must be made to change habits. Most people are too lazy to want to get involved. If you feel lazy you already have a symptom of toxemia, as laziness is a symptom of disease. The truth will always be the truth, no matter how many people deny it or run from it." ~Paul Nison, The Raw Life

A vital truth most doctors seem to have forgotten: 'The human body is self-healing.'
"Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma - which is living with the results f someone else's thinking. Don't let the noise of other's opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important
have the courage to follow your own heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become." ~ Steve Jobs (Apple co-founder)

" Unthinking respect for authority is the greatest enemy of truth." ~ Albert Einstein

"All truths are easy to understand once they are discovered. The point is to discover them." ~Galileo

"Unless your heart, your soul and your whole being are behind every decision you make, the words from your mouth will be empty, and each action will be meaningless. Truth and confidence is the root of happiness. ~Anonymous

"Whenever you have truth it must be given with love, or the message and the messenger will be reected." ~Gandhi

"The truth is like the sun. You can shut it out for a time, but it ain't gong away." ~Elvis Presley
