Chyawanprash and Tobias's Watermelon Pickle poem

A few people at work take a supplement called Chyawanprash. It’s claimed to be India’s oldest longevity tonic which rejeuvenates the cells & keeps disease away.
It is neither raw nor vegan.. so it’s hard for me to fully endorse it or anything.. but it’s really interesting & has a great story behind it.

I liked the following story so much I typed it out, couldn’t c&p from the website… but he says he nicked it from an Indian website.. so I’m hoping he doesn’t mind me copying it here. It’s from: http://www.kitchendoctor.com/Ayurveda/Chyawanprash.html

Long, long ago there was a sage in India names Chyawan, who lived in a forest. His hair was matted and he was covered with tree growth after years of meditating in the same place. A young princess was blindfolded and dancing in the forest when her hands touched the hair of the sage. Her father, the king, explained to the sage that it was the custom in his country that a woman could only touch one man in her lifetime. Thus he requested the sage to marry his daughter. Chyawan asked if he could have two months to prepare for the wedding for he wished to be young again so as to afford his wife conjugal bliss. Thereupon, he developed the recipe for longevity that has remained India’s most popular remedy, some say for 2000 years, others since the time of the Vedas.

From wikipedia: Chywanprash is a brown-colored, sticky paste with the consistency of jam and a sweet/sour/spicy taste. It can be eaten directly (one or two teaspoons per day) or mixed in warm milk or water.
Since many companies manufacture Chyawanprash, the recipe may differ a bit. The number of herbs used in preparation of the paste varies from 25 to 80, but the main ingredient of all Chyawanprash is amla- Indian gooseberry..

Also in it is honey, cinnamon, cardamom, peppers, asparagus, turmeric, nut grass, water-lily, licorice, sandalwood, tigers claw, Ceylon-cow plant, Irish root, kudzu, zedoary, mallow and clove amongst lots & lots more. The one I tried at work has actual silver in it. You could see the silver flakes in it, very pretty!
Whether is is small enough for the body to absorb is another story.. but it’s there.

You can buy it in Little India and in many Indian grocery stores.

Reflections On a Gift of Watermelon PickleReceived from a Friend Called Felicity

by John Tobias

During that summer
When unicorns were still possible;
When the purpose of knees
Was to be skinned;
When shiny horse chestnuts
(Hollowed out
Fitted with straws
Crammed with tobacco
Stolen from butts
In family ashtrays)
Were puffed in green lizard silence
While straddling thick branches
Far above and away
From the softening affects
Of civilization;

During that summer-
Which may never have been at all;
But which has become more real
Than the one that was-
Watermelons ruled.
Thick pink imperial sheaves
Melting frigidly on sun parched tongues
Dribbling from chins;
leaving the best part,
The black bullet seeds,
To be spit out in rapid fire
Against the wall
Against the wind
Against each other;

And when the ammunition was spent,
There was always another bite;
It was a summer of limitless bites,
Of hungers quickly left
And quickly forgotten
With the next careless gorging.

The bites are fewer now.
Each one is savored lingeringly,
Swallowed reluctantly.

But in a jar put up by Felicity,
The summer which maybe never was
Has been captured and preserved
And when we unscrew the lid
And slice off a piece
And let it linger on our tongue:
Unicorns become possible again.

beliefs, transitions, karmic duty and a Natural Antibiotic recipe

The moon really did look like this last night
.. actually it was even better
.. and the reflection on the water
.. and the beach
& the waves
it was really beautiful.

More beautiful than pictures.

I wrote this last night as I was falling to sleep.
I always keep a pen & paper by my bed – usually for dreams

Imagine that the thing you believe the most is totally false.
Imagine you are wrong about all the things you held as truths.
It’s good to shake up your belief system every once in awhile.
We can get opinionated and stuck on things – strong beliefs.
We know a lot less than we believe.
& yet we know everything.
because we are everything

Considering what you've been through, it's a good thing that you are such an easygoing character. With your patience and wisdom and someone else's willingness to negotiate, you will bring the right conclusion to a certain drama.

Major transitions going on in my life.

Someone came into work yesterday & told me that I had spent time being responsible for others & now I needed to be responsible for me. I needed to take care of myself. He said it was time now to fill my karmic duty.. why I am here on Earth. I have to do it quickly, time is running out, but I am on the right track. Just keep doing what I am doing.
He told Marie that she had a green aura. He said that I was red & that he was yellow.

My mom was just telling me about a natural antibiotic recipe that someone gave her.
She fell & got a lot of stitches in her hand so this recipe was in case she needs & doesn’t want to take an antibiotic prescription.
I have not tested it & don’t know anyone personally who has.. & that being said –

Natural Antibiotic recipe – essential oils

12 drops Thieves™ (Young Living)
4 drops oregano
2 drops frankincense

Thieves is a blend, which contains oils of cinnamon, clove, lemon, eucalyptus radiata & rosemary

Thieves was created from research about four thieves during the 15th-century plague who used cloves, rosemary, and other aromatics to protect themselves while robbing plague victims. Thieves is a proprietary blend of pure essential oils tested at Weber State University, Ogden, Utah, and found to have a 99.96 percent effective rate against airborne bacteria.

Water and human vibrations and frequencies

Thoughts from The Hidden Messages in Water by Masaru Emoto.

Water is the mirror of the soul.

Existance is vibration. ..The entire universe is in a state of vibration, and each thing generates it’s own frequency, which is unique. Quantum mechanics generally acknowledges this ..when we get right down to it, all that exists are particles and waves.

Human beings are also vibrating, and each individual vibrates at a unique frequency. Each one of has the sensory skills necessary to feel the vibrations of others.
The same principle applies to objects and locations.

The fact that everything is in a state of vibration also means that everything is creating sound.

The master listener that receives the sound is water.
- Remember here that we are made up of 70% water.

Warren J. Hammerman, in the March-Aril issue of the American scientific journal Century Science and Technology wrote that the organic matter that forms human beings generates a frequency which is a sound aprox 42 octaves above middle C. Middle C is approx 262 Hz.. so this means our sound reaches roughly 570 trillion Hz. Hz is vibrations/ second.. which means that we are vibrating at approx 570 trillion times per second.

“Humans are the only creatures that have the capacity to resonate with all other creatures and objects found in nature. We can speak with all that exists in the universe. We can give out energy & also receive energy in return. However, this ability is a two-edged sword. When people act out of greed, they emit an energy that serves to destroy the harmony within nature.”

Honey, watermelon & sneaking zucchini days, Herb Salad - Tabouli

Watched Lost in Translation last night –w/ Bill Murray.. it was slow. Jim only made it well, I think it was almost an hour.. he went & got another chocolate bar to try to make it further.. for energy, but then he headed in to bed anyway. We started watching it before one time, when we had satellite tv.. and he didn’t make it any further this time than last. I made it to the end.. it actually started getting better when he left, the club scene came up. The best though was the very end.. Just like Honey – Jesus and Mary Chain.

Listen to the girl

As she takes on half the world
Moving up and so alive
In her honey dripping beehive
Beehive
Its good, so good, its so good
So good

Honeybees are one of science's great mysteries because they have remained unchanged for 20 million years, even though the world changed around them.

Bees have been producing honey for at least 150 million years.

The honeybee's wings stroke 11,400 times per minute, thus making their distinctive buzz.

A bee flies at a rate of about 12 miles per hour.

Honey is created when bees mix plant nectar, a sweet substance secreted by flowers, with their own bee enzymes

To make honey, bees drop the collected nectar into the honeycomb and then evaporate it by fanning their wings.

Honey is one of the oldest foods in existence. It was even found in the tomb of King Tut!

Democritus (460-370 BC), Greek philosopher and physician, chose a diet rich in honey and lived until he was 109 years old.

In the first century A.D., Apicus, a wealthy Roman gourmet, wrote a series of books in which more than half the recipes included honey.

Physicians in ancient Rome used honey to help their patients fall asleep.

In biblical days, John the Baptist lived on a diet of wild locust and honey.

The ancient Greeks minted coins with bees on them.

Honeybee colonies have unique odors that members flash like identification cards at the hive's front door. All the individual bees in a colony smell enough alike so that the guard bees can identify them.

The honeybee is not born knowing how to make honey; the younger bees are taught by the more experienced ones.

A honeybee visits between 50 and 100 flowers during one collection flight from the hive.

In order to produce 1 pound of honey, 2 million flowers must be visited.

A hive of bees must fly 55,000 miles to produce 1 pound of honey.

Honey contains lots of vitamins and antioxidants, but is fat free, cholesterol free and sodium free!

Honey contains the minerals calcium, copper, iron, magnesium, manganese, phosphorous, potassium, sodium and zinc.

Honey
is the only food that includes all the substances necessary to sustain life, including water.

Honey speeds the healing of open wounds and also combats infection.

Honey is nature's energy booster! It provides a concentrated energy source that helps prevent fatigue and can boost athletic performance.

Recent studies have proven that athletes who took some honey before and after competing recovered more quickly than those who did not.

Honey supplies 2 stages of energy. The glucose in honey is absorbed by the body quickly and gives an immediate energy boost. The fructose is absorbed more slowly providing sustained energy.

The word "honey" appears 61 times in the King James Version of the Bible.

In Jewish Tradition, honey is also a symbol for the new year – ‘Rosh-Ha-Shana’. At the traditional meal for that holiday, apple slices are dipped into honey and eaten to bring a sweet new year. New Years greetings for Rosh-Ha-Shana very often show honey and an apple, symbolizing the feast of Rosh-Ha-Shana.

Honey plays an important role in the festival of Modhu Purnima, celebrated by Buddhists in India and Bangladesh. The day commemorates Buddha's making peace among his disciples by retreating into the wilderness. The story goes that while he was there, a monkey brought him honey to eat. On Modhu Purnima, Buddhists remember this act by giving honey to monks. The monkey's gift is frequently depicted in Buddhist art.

The flavour and colour of honey are largely determined by the nectar source. Common flavours of honey include orange blossom, tupelo, buckwheat, clover, blackberry, and blueberry. In Australia, the most common honey is from the eucalyptus trees, such as redgum, yellow gum and stringybark. Tasmanian leatherwood honey is considered a delicacy for its unique flavour.

While it is rare for any honey to be produced exclusively from one floral source, honey will take on the flavor of the dominant flower in the region. Orange blossom, tupelo, and sourwood are favoured types in the United States. Greece is famous for wild thyme honey, as is France for lavender and acacia honey.

I’m websurfing & just discovered that I missed

National Watermelon Day (August 3, 2006)

I probably ate watermelon on the 3rd, I love it & have been it eating it a lot lately. However I didn’t miss this:

Sneak Some Zucchini Onto Your Neighbor's Porch Night (August 8,2006)

That’s today. I’m not joking.. I really read this. Cool. I think I might turn some into zucchinigetti & do this in a nice way, with a really great tomato sauce.. for my raw buddy neighbour. : )

& from the Daily Inspiration e-mail:

Herb Salad

one bunch cilantro
two bunch parsley
one red onion
three tomatoes
two avocado
one young coconuts
4 jabañero peppers
one cup of raw almonds
cold-pressed olive oil
unrefined sea salt
raw honey
half a lemon

Chop up cilantro, parsley, 1/2 the onion, avocados and tomatoes in a bowl. Add the meat of a young coconut, chopped up. Blend almonds to a fine flour in blender. Add to the bowl of herb salad. Add the juice of half a lemon, a tablespoon of olive oil, a tablespoon of honey, and a salt to taste. Chop up jabañeros and soak in olive oil for a few minutes. Add 1/4 teaspoon of the jabañeros to the bowl of herb salad. Mix well and serve. Change it up each time by adding a different vegetable/herb like corn, broccoli, or fresh basil, or a different spice like Italian or Mexican seasonings. Serves 3.

The name Herb Salad has been changed from their Tabouli.. and slightly changed. I make Storms tabouli regularly & love it.. it’s the same as the above recipe, with 1 bunch parsley, without the coconut or jabaneros, less avocado & almonds & 2 tomatoes, instead of 3 ..and a bunch of green onions instead of 1 red.

Well, I guess that is a variation, it's almost a different recipe.

Klimt, 10 highest paid paintings, David R. Hawkins

A Gustav Klimt painting just sold for the highest amount ever paid for a painting.. 135 million. His 1907 masterpiece, the gold-flecked portrait of Vienna aristocrat Adele Bloch-Bauer,(below), sold to Ronald S. Lauder, cosmetics magnate and founder of the Neue Galerie museum in Manhattan.

The last highest paid painting was Picasso's 1905 "Boy With a Pipe" which sold two years ago in an auction at Sotheby's for $104 million.

There are 4 more Klimt paintings heading to Christies for sale this fall, each worth an estimated 100 million. My fav is the other portrait of Adele, Adele Bosch-Bauer2, (above). The other 3 paintings are landscapes.

List of the 10 most expensive paintings from Wikipedia

Most of the world's most famous paintings are owned by museums, which very rarely sell them. As such, they are quite literally priceless; if a painting like the Mona Lisa were to become available, it would almost certainly sell for much more than any of the paintings listed below. The Guiness World Book of Records lists the Mona Lisa as having the highest insurance value for a painting in history. It was assessed at US $100 million in 1962 - before the painting toured the US for several months. However, the Louvre chose to spend the money on security rather than insurance. Taking inflation into account, the 1962 value would be approximately US$670 million in 2006.

The following excerpt is taken from the book Power vs. Force: The Hidden Determinants of Human Behavior, by David R. Hawkins, M.D., Ph.D.

Love, Radiance, and Miracles

"The overall condition of my nerves improved slowly, and then another phenomenon began—a sweet, delicious band of energy started to flow continuously up my spine and into my brain, where it created an intense sensation of continuous pleasure. Everything in life happened by synchronicity, evolving in perfect harmony, and the miraculous was commonplace. The origin of what the world would call miracles was the Presence, not my personal self. What remained of the personal "me" was only a witness to these phenomena. The greater "I," deeper than my own self or my own thoughts, determined all that happened.

The states I was experiencing had been reported by others; I began investigating spiritualteachings--including those of the Buddha, Huang Po, and other enlightened sages; and more recent teachers such as Ramana Maharshi and Nisargadatta Maharaja--and thus confirmed that these experiences weren't unique. Suddenly, the Bhagavad Gita made complete sense; eventually I experienced the same spiritual ecstasy reported by Sri Ramakrishna and the Christian saints.

Everything and everyone in the world was luminous and exquisitely beautiful to me. All living things became radiant, and expressed this radiance in stillness and splendor. It was apparent that all of mankind is actually motivated by inner love, but has simply become unaware; most people live their lives as though they're sleepers unawakened to the perception of who they really are. All those around me looked as if they were asleep, but they were incredibly beautiful--I was in love with everyone.

I had to stop my habitual practice of meditating for an hour in the morning and then again before dinner because it would intensify the bliss to such an extent that I could not function. An experience similar to the one I had as a boy in the snowbank would recur, but it became increasingly difficult to leave that state and return to my surroundings. The incredible beauty of all things shone forth in all its perfection, and where the world saw ugliness, I saw only timeless beauty. This spiritual love permeated all of my perception; all boundaries between here and there, then and now, or me and you disappeared.

I spent years in inner silence, and the strength of the Presence grew. I had no personal life--my personal will no longer existed. I was an instrument of the Infinite Presence, and I went about and did as it willed. People felt an extraordinary peace in the aura of that Presence; seekers sought answers from me, but as there was no such individual as "David" any longer, I saw that what these people were doing was finessing answers from their own selves, which were no different from mine. As I looked at each person, my self shone forth from their eyes. How did I get into all these bodies? I wondered.

The miraculous happened, beyond ordinary comprehension. Many chronic maladies from which I had suffered for years disappeared; my eyesight spontaneously normalized, and I no longer needed the bifocals I had worn for much of my life. Occasionally I would feel an exquisitely blissful energy--an infinite love--that would suddenly begin to radiate from my heart toward the scene of some calamity. For instance, I was once driving on a highway when this amazing energy began to beam out of my chest. As I rounded a bend, I saw that an auto accident had just occurred; in fact, the wheels of the upturned car were still spinning. The energy passed, with great intensity, from me to the occupants of the car, and then it stopped of its own accord. Another time, I was walking down the streets of a strange city, when the energy started to flow down the block ahead of me. I happened to arrive at the scene of an incipient gang fight, and the combatants fell back and began to laugh. Then the energy stopped again.

Profound changes of perception came, without warning, in improbable circumstances. While dining alone at a restaurant on Long Island, the Presence suddenly intensified until every person and thing, which had appeared separate in ordinary perception, melted into a timeless universality and oneness. In the motionless silence, I saw that there are no "events" or "things" and that nothing actually "happens" because past, present, and future are merely artifacts of perception, as is the illusion of a separate "I," subject to birth and death. As my limited, false self dissolved into the universal Self of its true origin, there was an ineffable sense of having returned home, a state of absolute peace and relief from all suffering. For it's only the illusion of individuality that is the origin of all suffering--when one realizes that one is the universe, complete and at one with all that is, forever without end, then no further suffering is possible."

Sleep & my dream car

Yesterday was Jim’s & my 17th wedding anniversary. It was also his families reunion, and we got home late .. in case anyone was wondering what happened to me yesterday. When we got home the day was almost over & so we just went to sleep.

& speaking of sleep I am posting an excerpt for an e-mail I received from Roger Haeske on exactly that today.

I found this quite interesting because I have not been getting much sleep lately. I keep hearing how you don't need as much sleep when you go raw. & it's true. Especially lately.. I have been taking lots of E3Live & doing wheatgrass shots & lost of green smoothies & superfoods.. and my cells are having a awesome little energy buzz going.. it's like a natural high going on, very cool! But when I read this I realized that even though I can go on less sleep quite easily - I have slept about 5 hours for the past 3 nights - It's probably not the best thing to do. I am quite capable of sleeping more.. and probably my gym performance really would be better, which I am just realizing after reading this.. so that's it, I am going to make a point of getting more sleep.. It's a good thing!

“This easy and extremely enjoyable, peak performance factor makes you stronger, faster and smarter. You'll start achieving new personalbests in fitness, business and every other area of your life.

You'll even get more done because you'll be mentally sharper and have explosive energy levels. There's even scientific evidence thatpeople who do more of this are thinner. Certainly if you want to feel and look your best and be youthful, then you must do enough of this every day.
Yet everyone these days is trying to get by with less of this. By now you probably guessed what I am talking about. I'm talking about sleep and in general getting more rest.

Whenever I'm trying to break my own fitness records, I can never do so unless I've had at least two days in a row of lots of sleep. You maynot know this but the best long-distance runners in the world, the Kenyans are on their backs for 16 to 20 hours a day during peak competition season. They may sleep up to 14 hours per day. Top professional athletes in general sleep 10 to 12 hours a day.

They sleep a lot and they also rest as much as possible by lying on their backs and closing their eyes. Sleep is the only way to recharge your vital nerve energy. Everything in your body will work at its best when you've slept as much as your body needed to fully recover and regenerate from the previous day's activities.

I don't believe you can sleep too much, only too little. Even if you did sleep more than you needed to that particular day, it simply meansthe next day you will naturally sleep less.

Most people who drink coffee and take other stimulants are sleep deprived and need the coffee to falsely stimulate them into a sense ofwakefulness. I urge you to stop drinking coffee and get enough rest. Coffee is not a substitute for sleep and people who drink coffee don't sleep as deeply and restfully as those who don't.

Coffee is a shortcut to old age and disease.

*** Quick Tip ***

Any time you know you have to stay up the whole night ahead of time, just make sure to get a few extra hours sleep the day before. You'll see it will be easy to get through the night and the next day by doing that.”

May you be blessed with hours & hours of long and beautiful sleep!

& wonderful dreams!

I received the most amazing little red sports car in one of my dreams last night.. it was personalized & everything, had my name & insignia kind of sandblasted into the bottom of my rear view mirror & vanity plates.. it was a convertible.. I saw it & loved it so much & then it just appeared in my garage for me.. a present.
& I had this awesome art studio I was working in.. but I was paining pictures of the Simpsons!!?? ..really cool paintings, but there was at least one Simpsons character in each one. Dreams are so weird.. & I love them so much!

Green Smoothie Recipes

I have been coming across lots of smoothie recipes lately..

A man at work gave me his favorite..
I was a little afraid to try it because of the onion.. but I got over it & tried a version of it this morning & it's really refreshing & good. Definitely blog-worthy.

1 banana
1 onion – or you can put in garlic &/or hot pepper
1 lemon – peel & seed 1st
coconut water or just water if you don’t have
optional: avocado

I used a green onion and threw in lots of sunflower sprouts, to qualify it as a green smoothie.. and because you can never go wrong with sunflower sprouts. I put in some of the young coconut meat also.

Someone at work made this combo:
Banana, shredded coconut, a large handful of pea green sprouts & some water & blend.
It was amazingly good.

Maries secret recipe..
hope she doesn’t mind me sharing it – a secret no longer:

1-2 bananas
Handful (2T’s?) ground cacao nibs
Handful (2T’s?) goji berries
Lots (1c or so) sunflower sprouts
1 scoop hemp protein powder
1 scoop tototrienols
1-2 c water
Blend

I love this smoothie! It's amazing.
Tocotrienols make a smoothie really smooth.. and ultra healthy! Check it out here:
http://www.rawfood.com/cgi-bin/order/index.cgi?id=65856680237&d=single&item_id=0576&c=Supplements&sc=Vitamins&tc=

One of my favorite versions of green smoothies:

Fill a blender with greens – try spinach, romaine, parsley
Or my fav actually would be kale & sunflower sprouts
Add 1 cup water & pulse down to break up greens.
Add fruit:
2 bananas, 2 pears, ¼ pineapple, 2 mangoes
Blend

This is going to make an incredibly full blender of smoothies.. and you might only have room for 1 mango.. that’s ok.. just fill it up to the top.
It’s good to have lots. I always fill up a travel mug or 2 with them to have on the run later.. they stay well in the fridge for hours, actually up to 24 hrs easily, I’ve tested it. They are always better fresh.. but really not bad at all later, if kept cold.
But if you have a regular blender cut ingredients in half.. it may not be able to handle this quantity.

I could live on Green Smoothies.. I almost do!

Joel’s Ultimate green smoothie from: http://www.rawlifeline.com/resources/smoothie.html
He doesn’t give measurements.. so you have to guess

Meat from 1 young coconut
Cacao
Goji berries

Green powder (Natures 1st Food)
Handful of berries
Pinch of cinnamon
Pinch of salt

From: http://www.eat-sprouts.com/blend/index.html
this is from the website.. her fav, not mine.. I haven't tried it yet, just looks interesting.
'A few days a week, my main meal of the day is an upmarket Green Smoothie, one with frills. I blend it in the evening after work, it takes about an hour.'

This is the recipe:

- one full 12-inch tray of Living greens from my Sprouter – sunflower, or green pea shoot, or a mix of alfalfa, broccoli, etc.,
-a few large green leaves – I alternate spinach, cabbage, lettuce, or use whatever's in your country, e.g. kale, collard,
-a fibrous veggie – I alternate celery, broccoli with little stalk, or carrot, I'd use beet but it's too messy,
-a vegetable fruit – I alternate cucumber, zucchini, baby marrow or summer squash, all those little veggies that have seeds,
-2-3 sweet fruits – especially sweet South African fruits like juicy pineapple, mango, pear, and -half an avocado for smoothness.

Enjoy! ..& here's to your glowing health!

E3Live & Ningxia Red

E3Live is one of my biggest nutritional supplements which I am getting more & more into all the time. I have noticed this special glow on people who take this regularly.. & I have just decided to up my intake of it considerably. I was taking it randomly just here & there. I am going to start with at least an ounce a day, maybe 2 for awhile & see how I feel.

The discovery of this ancient strain of blue-green micro-algae Aphanizomenon flos-aquae (AFA) has led to a new super food that contains more protein and chlorophyll than any other food source. Primitive as algae may appear, most are highly efficient photo synthesizers, even more so than plants. Algae utilize light energy from the sun, carbon dioxide from the air, and hydrogen from the water to synthesize proteins, carbohydrates and lipids. AFA grows only in the wild and is far superior to any other algae on the planet. It is nature's perfect food.

By targeting hidden nutritional deficiencies and detoxifying the body, the nutrients contained in E3Live may:
- Delay or reverse premature aging by repairing cell damage, and eliminating toxins
- Help maintain a normal appetite for both weight loss or weight gain
- Improve mental focus and concentration (by it’s ability to cross the “blood-brain barrier”)
- Increase energy and sense of well-being
- Support the return of youthful appearance, and feelings of rejuvenation
- Boosts the immune system
- Promote the growth of stronger nails, smoother skin, and healthier hair
- Help maintain normal blood-sugar levels
- Help promote regular intestinal regularity, better digestion, and healthy intestinal flora
- Stabilizes mood swings
- Support physical health during times of healing
- Increase clarity and sharpness of eyesight
- Help promote healthy cholesterol levels
- Provide missing nutrients needed to enhance overall metabolic functioning
- Purify and nourish your blood through the healing power of chlorophyll
- Increase endurance and strength

The high chlorophyll content in E3Live™ increases oxygen uptake. Higher oxygen intake means more fuel to muscles, which translates into improved performance and endurance. The "low molecular weight polypeptide amino acids" in E3Live™ are pre-digested and easily cross the delicate blood/brain barrier, directly feeding the higher, "master" glands located deep in the brain. This may be one reason athletes who consume E3Live™ report increased mental concentration.

E3Live contains all the trace minerals known to science, as well as a hard to get vegetarian source of B12
& the product is totally guaranteed! “You will feel the difference or your money back for up to one year guaranteed”

I am waiting to receive an e-mail about a huge study revealing that the algae in E3Live actually regenerates stem cells.. this is HUGE!
This sounds like science fiction.. but we are talking medicine coming out where someone could have an arm amputated & have it actually grow back!

I’m getting my mom hooked also.
She made a E3smoothie from their web-page yesterday:

Ingredients:

1 cup water, or you can use 1 cup fresh almond milk
2 bananas
1/2 cup frozen fruit, she used berries
1 tsp. vanilla – she used less

1-2 Tbs. E3Live

Blend & Enjoy.. she said it was amazing.

www.e3live.com

I mixed mine in a glass with Ningxia Red & water..
Aprox. 2 oz E3Live, 2oz water, 1 oz Ningxia Red.

Ningxia Red is a pretty huge supplement also. Made with wolfberries, which are pretty much the same as goji berries, only slightly different & from a different region. Gojis are Tibetan, wolfberries are Chinese.

“called ‘goji’ by native Chinese, wolfberries have been used in traditional folk medicine for over 5000 years.”

Ningxia red is ultra high in antioxidants and supports the immune system. It’s a synergistic blend of:
Wolfberry: the miracle superfood; supports multiple biosystems; ultra-rich nutrient source
Blueberry: contains ultra-high levels of antioxidants
Pomegranate: supports cardiovascular health
Apricot: revered for longevity support
Raspberry: contains ellagic acid, a DNA protectant
Lemon and Orange Essential Oils: contain the antioxidant d-limonene

Huanchu Daoran, 10th dimension, Mercola

I am reading Back to Beginnings – Reflections on the Tao by Huanchu Daoran. I just bought this book on the weekend. Daoran was a retired scholar around 1600 when he wrote this – it is like a lay-Taoism & combines the social & historical insights of pristine Confuscianism with the educational and psychological knowledge of Buddhism and Taoism. These writings, originally called “Vegetable Root Talks” are all that is known of him.

“Late at night, when everyone is quiet, sit alone and gaze into the mind; then you will notice illusion ending and reality appearing. You gain a great sense of potential in this every time. Once you have noticed reality appearing yet find that illusion is hard to escape, you also find yourself greatly humbled.”

“Blessings often give rise to injury, so be careful when things are going your way. Success may be achieved after failure, so don’t just give up when you’ve been disappointed”

“To those who approach you with riches, respond with humanity. To those who approach you with rank, respond with justice. Enlightened people are not prisoners of rulers. When people are determined, they can overcome fate; when the will is unified, it can mobilize energy. Enlightened people do not even let nature put them in a set mold.”

“Where the road is narrow, stop for a moment to let others pass; when there is good food, leave a third of your portion for others to enjoy. This is one good way to live in the world in peace and happiness.”

“Desires do not hurt the mind as much as opinions do. The senses do not hinder enlightenment as much as the intellect does.”

“Be open and broad-minded in this life, so that none may bear a complaint against you. Let your generosity continue long after your death, so that people may be satisfied.”

How to imagine 10 dimensions: http://www.thetenthdimension.com/
Explains the differences between dimensions, based on string theory.

The 10th dimension contains all possibilities – it contains all possible timelines for all possible universes in a single point.

Random Reality
Space and the material world could be created out of nothing but noise. That's the startling conclusion of a new theory that attempts to explain the stuff of reality.

If you could lift a corner of the veil that shrouds reality, what would you see beneath? Nothing but randomness, say two Australian physicists. According to Reginald Cahill and Christopher Klinger of Flinders University in Adelaide, space and time and all the objects around us are no more than the froth on a deep sea of randomness.

Gandhi, Ann Wigmore, taste sensations, Gerson Therapy

"In the attitude of silence the soul finds the path in a clearer light, and what is elusive and deceptive resolves itself into crystal clearness. Our life is a long and arduous quest after Truth." – Mahatma Gandhi

"Always aim at complete harmony of thought and word and deed. Always aim at purifying your thoughts and everything will be well." - Mahatma Gandhi

I watched Gandhi last night & tonight – in two parts, it’s a long movie! Last watched it in the 80’s & just remembering it from that it went into my top 10.. now after watching it again, it stays there.

I was quite interested last week when I overheard a phone conversation, which I knowingly & obviously listened in on. It was about the life of Anne Wigmore. Now being a raw foodist for the past year and a half and as into it as I am.. you would think that I would know a little more about her than I did. To tell the truth I had a bit of a mental block.. I tried rejuvelac.. and it was awful! Worse than awful. & I know, I know she’s the mother of raw foods & all that.. but I just had taste issues, and never delved further. Although I always had a feeling I should & would one day.
She’s huge on wheat-grass tho.. and since I’m all about wheat-grass these days.. it’s only fitting that she would come up & I would get to know her a bit better.

I did a bit of research.. this is mainly from her autobiography..

Anne grew up in war-torn Lithuania where she used to watch her grandmother use herbs & weeds to heal wounded soldiers from WW1. She learned a lot about the use of herbs & natural remedies from her. In her mid-teens she moved to America. She had a disastrous accident which crushed her legs and which resulted in gangrene setting in. The doctors wanted to amputate but Ann refused even though her family sided with the doctors. Ann took care of herself, with a hard time moving & feeding herself.. she spent lots of time in the backyard in the sun eating weeds & herbs & applying them to her legs.. just as she had learned from her grandmother in Europe. She healed herself, and with her wounds gone she visited the doctors again said she remembers when they said nothing when the X-ray showed that the bones had knitted firmly together again.
Her American diet however, later resulted in colon cancer. She created a live food program for herself, & ate lots of greens she grew indoors, sprouts and raw fermented foods including that signature drink of hers – rejuvelac, which is made from sprouted wheatgrass seeds fermented in water. Fermented foods aid in digestion by replenishing healthy intestinal flora.
In 1958, Ann opened the Hippocrates Health Institute in Boston – which attracted people from all around the world – who were all treated equally, whether rich or penniless, famous or not. She was huge on wheatgrass, which contains one of the highest nutritional contents of the grasses.
Her work at Hippocrates produced thousands of testimonials from people healing themselves of a multitude of illnesses – diabetes, ulcers, asthma, eczema, colitis, arthritis etc,etc..
However, fighting the American Medical Institution proved too much for her. But she went on to start living food programs in other countries- incl Canada, Sweden & India.
She died in 1994 from smoke inhalation during a fire that destroyed the home of the original Hippocrates Health Institute.

Most recent taste sensations:
Little things can change things up and make a big difference sometimes.
On Fri. we were juicing a basil leaf, for whoever wanted it, in with their wheat-grass juice. A drop of peppermint essential oil in with a large glass of water – if too strong, try a drop in a pitcher.. just a fresh taste. A stalk of lavender put into a bottle of water , or a few stalks in a pitcher is really nice also.
Last night I ground up goji berries in my coffee grinder & added to some powdered cacao & wildflower honey.

http://www.gersonmiracle.org/movie.html

Gerson Therapy has been and is still the most basic, the best recognized, the most complete, and the longest existing effective cancer treatment.

Gerson Therapy is aimed at detoxifying the body and putting lots of fresh nutrients into it. It is effective, not only with cancer, but also heart disease, high blood pressure, thyroid problems, lupus, colitis, diabetes, multiple sclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis, herniated disks and many other problems.
read more: http://www.healingdaily.com/conditions/Gerson-therapy.htm

The chance of us getting cancer or some other chronic disease at some time in our lives is almost assured because of two factors that are the underlying cause –deficiency & toxicity.

The main focus of Gerson Therapy is in juicing – getting lots of nutrients & chlorophyll in.

Spirit dance, 40 day purification, Sleep

One World Spirit Dance – Sept 14-22 – Patagonia, Arizona

The Purpose of the One World Spirit Dance is to invoke the forces of the heavens and the Earth to create a synergy of World Peace and to bring upon ourselves the revelation of God’s Light. The Spirit Dance is a modern form of the ancient Ghost Dance Ceremony. It is a spiritual process which belongs to all Peoples--all of the Rainbow Nations upon the Earth.

The One World Spirit Dance is a multicultural ceremony that incorporates many of the world’s wisdom traditions, with participants who bring the richness of many different spiritual paths. The One World Spirit Dance is the fulfillment of Crazy Horse’s vision of all peoples, colors, and nations dancing together for Peace under one tree. The One World Spirit Dance, formerly the White Buffalo Spirit Dance, is an expression of the White Buffalo Medicine which is a high teaching of the Native American Way that belongs to all peoples. It is a path of holiness and purification involving vegetarianism, abstinence from drugs, alcohol, and tobacco, and an inward focused awareness so one may merge one’s consciousness with Great Spirit. It is a path of truly becoming World Peace and actualizing spiritual Liberation.

http://www.treeoflife.nu/spiritdance.html

Although I can’t be there.. I am thinking of following the 40 day purification period.
It’s not hard for me because I am following it all except for my little cacao addiction & the 40 min meditation twice a week on world peace. & I want to meditate more so it’s like a bit of a commitment that I am making with myself. ..a way of enforcing a good habit that I would like to be doing anyway.
For 40 Days before the Dance:
Abstain from drug use including: marijuana, alcohol, tobacco, hallucinogenic plant medicine, narcotics, and highly caffinated substances (i.e., coffee).
Minimize Sexual Activity
Maintain a %100 vegan diet (no flesh, eggs or dairy); partake of as many raw living foods as possible.
World Peace Meditation: At least two times per week, at sunrise or sunset, practice 40 minutes of sitting meditation. At some point in the meditation create an intentional vision of world peace—light surrounding the planet, people living in harmony with one another and the planet, etc. This visualization may only last a few minutes. To greater support the group matrix, those residing in Patagonia commit to meditating as a group in the Temple on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at sunset. We encourage all Spirit Dance participants to join the group energy at that time in meditation. If these times aren’t possible for you, please meditate any two times per week at sunrise or sunset.

I miss my meditation class on Tuesdays now that I am working.. but John told me that he’s changing it to evenings in Sept.. see how everything works out!

I was wishing tonight that I had more greens here.. I worked all day & couldn’t get the groc store.. and my friend called & someone gave her fresh chard from a farm they were at to give to me. It always works out.. life is amazing.

& while I was there she showed me pics of a wedding she went to yesterday. The bride works in organic farming, the groom has a degree in environmental studies. The guitar player is a raw foodist. Cool. It seems that artists and musicians are as attracted to the raw food lifestyle as actors & models.. free thinkers, creative people who are confident & can think out of the box, and intelligent! ; ) But, I digress.. the pics were beautiful! She got married in Birkenstocks and her mothers wedding dress. There were bails of hay covered with white material for seats & hundreds of mason jars each filled with sand & a tea light.. and the kids were all given, (you know, you’re material!) strips of organza which they tied all over, in their hair, around their waists, necks, etc. I love organza.. made all these curtains in my front porch out of goldish-plum & burgundy organza.

Posting from Mark Jackson on the becomingyounger yahoo e-group:

Let me explain something about this Earth, and our wonderful bodies. Whatever ones religious belief is about creation, and our purpose here, one thing is certain, we live in a world in which we have a symbiotic relationship with plants. They give off oxygen, which our bodies need to breathe, and we exhale carbon dioxide, which plants need, so we keep them alive, and they keep us alive. When you sleep in a house that is all closed up, you are exhaling carbon dioxide, and the oxygen content of the house drops, therefore your body cannot feel as relaxed and at ease, therefore your body has to fight harder to breathe, and you feel tense. Keeping the windows open allows more oxygen to circulate therefore you feel more refreshed, and your body feels better. Keeping the windows shut does not aid in proper relaxation.

this was esp a little note for my husband. He doesn't sleep very well. We have the house closed up & the a/c on. Yikes! : S

10 Healthy Sleep Tips
for more detail and info go to: http://www.sleepfoundation.org/hottopics/index.php?secid=9&id=31

1. Maintain a regular bed and wake time schedule including weekends.
2. Establish a regular, relaxing bedtime routine such as soaking in a hot bath or hot tub and then reading a book or listening to soothing music.
3. Create a sleep-conducive environment that is dark, quiet, comfortable and cool.
4. Sleep on a comfortable mattress and pillows.
5. Use your bedroom only for sleep and sex.
6. Finish eating at least 2-3 hours before your regular bedtime.
7. Exercise regularly. It is best to complete your workout at least a few hours before bedtime.
8. Avoid caffeine (e.g. coffee, tea, soft drinks, chocolate) close to bedtime. It can keep you awake.
9. Avoid nicotine (e.g. cigarettes, tobacco products). Used close to bedtime, it can lead to poor sleep.
10. Avoid alcohol close to bedtime.

& now I am off to bed.. no problem with sleep for me. My husband jokingly nicknames me Nocturna. I can just hit the pillow & I’m out. I love sleep ..and especially dreaming! ..but I haven’t been dreaming as much lately as usual, so this is a formal request to the dream gods/goddesses to help me get back to remembering lots of dreams again. That would make me very happy. Thank-you. : ) & I hope that you remember lots of great dreams also!

Sweet Dreams.

most luminous star, worst case scenarios, recipes, raw food-happy planet

The most luminous star known releases up to 10 million times the power of the sun and is big enough to fill the diameter of Earth’s orbit. The ‘Pistol Star’ was discovered in the 90’s - it unleashes as much energy in 6 seconds as our sun does in 1 year.

This image, taken in infared light also depicts a magenta coloured nebula created by extremely massive stellar eruptions. The nebula is so big (4 light years) that it would nearly span the distance between the sun and Alpha Centauri, the nearest star to Earth’s solar system.

I just read Worst-case scenarios – How to foil an alien abduction. Lol funny. There could be some important information here!

from Nomi Shannon’s Raw Gourmet newsletter – recipes for Pomodoro & Pesto, and Summer Tomato Basil soup.
To subscribe, go to www.rawgourmet.com and sign up for the FREE 7 part email class called The Raw Truth.

Pomodoro Sauce

Pomodoro and Pesto over zucchini pasta is a memorable summertime combination. If you adore the taste of basil, place basil strips in colander with tomatoes also. Or, you can add the basil just before serving for a less intense but still memorable basil experience. If serving both pesto and pomodoro, first toss the "pasta" in the pesto sauce them put the pomodoro on top without mixing it in.

4-6 very ripe tomatoes, cubed and drained for 3-4 hours
fresh basil, as much as you like (start with 1/4 cup)
Pinch sea salt

Cut tomatoes in half through the stem end, scoop out and discard the seeds. Dice into small cubes. Place in a colander over a bowl. Lightly salt. Allow to drain for 3-4 hours. When ready to serve, toss tomato mixture with pinch of sea salt (if needed to taste) and add more basil, to taste. Serves 4.

Note: The 'tomato water' is delicious to drink.

Pesto Sauce

This traditional flavored pesto is delicious served over zucchini pasta, spaghetti squash, or sunflower sprouts. If the sauce is too garlicky for your taste, add additional pine nuts.

6 tablespoons olive oil
3 garlic cloves
6 tablespoons chopped basil
1 tablespoon chopped parsley
2 tablespoons pine nuts, soaked
pinch sea salt

In a blender, blend all ingredients until very smooth. If sauce is too thick, add a spoonful of hot water.
Yields approximately 1 cup.

Summer Tomato Basil Soup

Can be used as a Soup or Dressing
Wait until summer, when you can buy or grow juicy ripe organic tomatoes for this soup.
For a thick and hearty soup, instead of juicing the tomatoes, just toss them in the blender until you have a three cup yield.

3 cups freshly made tomato juice
1/4 lemon, peeled and seeded
1 avocado large
handful of sunflower or buckwheat sprouts
2 tablespoons chopped basil
optional: 1 tablespoon chopped onion
optional: 1/2 garlic clove, chopped

In a blender, blend all ingredients. Top with sprouts and basilflowers.
Serves 2.

For Dressing: use the optional onion and garlic with a bit of oliveoil, flax oil or hemp oil added in.

The Daily Raw Inspiration - 7/25/06 Raw Food, Happy Planet!
http://www.TheGardenDiet.com

Although we eat raw food mainly for the taste and the wonderful health benefits eating raw vegan is not surprisingly also a sustainable diet that is healthy for the planet itself!

If raw organic food was the planetary diet:

- All the farmland currently growing grain to feed cattle could be used to grow fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds instead which would feed exponentially more people and wipe out hunger world-wide

- We could eat more locally grown organic foods and not need as much trucked-food so there would be less pollution

- We would all eat organic ending pesticide and herbicide use so the soil of the planet would become healthier as would the air and water and therefore the health of humanity would take a giant leap forward

- It would end factory farming of animals which badly pollutes the soil and our water sources

- It would dramatically lessen the use of pharmaceuticals which currently pollute our water systems

- Many forests would be saved including ancient rainforests that are now being cut down to make grazing fields for cattle

- More people would want to grow their own food. They could live in the countryside and not need to travel as much. Cities would become smaller and less toxic

Wolfe thoughts

"Wolves are hunters; they are adaptable with eyes that absorb their landscape. Be like a wolf--fascinated and alive with curiosity." (Michael Duncan)

thoughts and ideas quoted/taken from a David Wolfe lecture:

We have densified ourselves with years of commercial food. We have lost our in-tune nature that animals have, animals are psychic spiritual beings. They are in the flow.. most of us have lost the flow. We assume we are something like animals when the truth is we are nothing like animals living in the wild.. we have removed ourselves so far from nature. We need to lighten ourselves up. We are eating the most dense, heavy food ever created in history, this materializes us.. as we lighten up we become more spiritual beings.

92% of the food that people eat today did not even exist 25 years ago.

Victoras Kulvinskas said that food comes up 22 times in an average day. This means that we have 22 times when food is available to eat on an average day.

Most people – an estimated 40%, die in our culture on Monday morning between 9 & 10 am!
We have been sold an idea that we are supposed to do what we don’t like to do. You can do what you love to do and do it as much as you want to your hearts content.. and it’s the only way to have real value in life and no stress.

A successful person is someone who loves what they are doing every day.

Appreciation for all the stuff we have access to. ½ the population of the world hasn’t made a phone call.. ½ of the population of the planet doesn’t know what an apple is. We get to try the most incredible foods on the planet We have amazing knowledge available to us.. enzymes.. Dr Howe spend 60 years of his life studying enzymes and we have access to this knowledge.. books, internet.. abundance, incredible abundance.. we have the wealth of the planet available to us. We are incredibly fortunate.

The strongest indicator of criminal behavior or jeuvenile delinquency is allergies to food.
Allergies to food!
The highest allergy is dairy products. #2 is grains – the gluten.

Minerals are required for higher consciousness. They test for minerals in your hair, they ash it & use light technology to test it, a spectroscope. The signature of the frequencies will differentiate between the minerals.. a mineral is not an actual thing - minerals are a set of frequencies, like a radio. The more frequencies we are tuning into - the more minerals we have, and mineral rich we are, the more frequencies and information we have access to.
The mineral is a piece of complex information. There is different information that you get from Lucky Charms & wheatgrass juice.. entirely different information that leads to an entirely different destination.. a totally different realization.

Green juices clean out the system. We are so silted up.. so much heavy food. Eating pizza is like getting a tattoo.

The vibration of fast food is not Love.. it’s Greed (Fast Food Nation)

Chlorophyll pulls heavy metals out if your system.
Chlorophyll is green.
Green is the very center of the rainbow.
If you are off center - what are you missing?
When you come into the city what’s missing? (except To, that is ; )
Green.
Green juice calms you down. If you are under high stress or at end of a busy day, drink green juice - it will calm you down – balance you out.

Life is art, Rudy Rucker, Torkom Saraydarian, love and joy

Look three times and try to understand.
Think twice about what it is you are seeing.
Paint once with economy and audacity.
-R Genn

Live Life like a work of art!
Create a masterpiece.

Observe 3 times, Think twice, Create once.

So many special moments today. Butterflies, a 10 day old baby.. my friend told me they missed me, haven’t seen or heard from me lately & figured that’s cause I was having fun & enjoying life. She said that’s what she always thinks when she hasn’t heard from her son in awhile.. she misses him but knows its cause he’s distracted, busy, living & enjoying life that he hasn’t kept in touch.. interesting & true.
Cacao, wildflower honey, basil and raspberries - each one a beautiful moment..& so many more, stories and legends..
Comparing crocs and thinking about clothing choices. How we all have the choice to wear pretty well anything we want & all the options available to us. We can dress in silks, velvets, sweatpants.. paint covered jeans, high heels, sneakers, crocs.. with or without butterflies.. we are reinventing ourselves all the time.. constantly changing our persona. I love a neighbour who is always dressed in the most amazing clothes, eccentric–dramatic, a beautiful style all her own .. she says everyone should be wearing great costumes all the time.
Why not?
Wear what you love.
Be who you want to be,
Do what you want to do,
Play with those you want to play with
and be happy.

I got lost in this site following links & reading about science fiction books for awhile:
http://memetherapy.blogspot.com/2006/06/rudy-rucker.html

“… The fifth dimension is what mathematicians used to call the fourth dimension, but the time axis lobby has put in a power play to lock in exclusive naming rights to “fourth dimension,” leaving “fifth dimension” for the first available extra dimension of space.”

"The future, higher evolution will belong to those who live in joy, who share joy, and who spread joy." - Torkom Saraydarian

http://www.tsgfoundation.org/torkom.asp

Joy, as the energy of love, is the highest vibration on this planet. Everything in the universe is energy; it can be measured and reduced to vibrational frequencies. It’s a universal law that as we think and feel we vibrate, and as we vibrate we attract. When we are in the high joy vibration, we attract what is for our greater good. The Ancient Egyptians saw Joy as a sacred responsibility. They believed that upon their death, the God Osiris would ask them two questions: "Did you bring Joy?" and "Did you find Joy?" Those who answered ‘yes’ could continue their journey into the afterlife. For at least the next week or two, ask yourself these two questions each and every day: Did I bring joy? Did I find joy?

"Man loves because he is Love. He seeks Joy, for he is Joy. He thirsts for God for he is composed of God and he cannot exist without Him." -- Sathya Sai Baba

Crocs, raw basket, Sentient Times, David Bohn

Happy Birthday Amethyste!
I love you! xox

so.. I just became a crocs person.
I finally broke down this morning and bought a pair of crocs.. went all out, bought a silver pair and even bought butterfly charms to go with them.. they attach onto the ventilation holes. It’s a pack of 6 or 7, gotta go get them ready to wear tomorrow & plan an outfit to wear with them. I am working 2 jobs tomorrow.. will be running around all day. I’m so glad that I love both of my jobs!

Just checked out the crocs website.. it’s almost as fun as the shoes.. nice site.
http://www.crocs.com/home.jsp ..and I really like that fuschia-red pair they show on the home page. I was really torn between the silver & pink, but then they had a coral pink also & I couldn’t decide between the pinks so I went for the silver.

10 reasons to wear crocs:
1. Incredibly Light and Comfortable To Wear
2. Made From a Super Soft Material That Molds To Your Feet.
3. Non-Marking Soles
4. Extremely Slip Resistant.
5. Anti-Microbial Means No Odor. Say Good-Bye To Smelly Shoes.
6. Can be Sterilized.
7. Easy to Clean and Renew To Original Luster.
8. Advanced Toe Box Ventilation System Keeps Feet Cool & Dry While Also Allowing Sand, Air, Water & Debris To Pass Through.
9. Ergonomic Italian Styling Is The Ultimate In Orthopedic Health.
10. They're Cool! Get a Grip
oops, missed one.. They are Made in Canada!

My friend called me tonight.. she had asked me to put together a basket of raw foods for her boyfriends daughter, who’s an actress and interested in the lifestyle,, has a few raw books, etc. But the thing is she asked me a month ago and I knew it was coming but she was supposed to remind me & she just moved and has been really busy and forgot.
Co-incidentally – if you go for that sort of thing.. I had Neatballs in the dehydrater that I made this morning.. just came home and took them out and a sweet and sour sauce to go with them.. they are amazing. I used a recipe from The Complete Book of Raw Food, which is an amazing book.. lots of great recipes and information!

A good review of it here: http://www.sentienttimes.com/05/aug_sept_05/raw_food.html
including recipes for Rainbow Veggie Slaw and Live Gardenburgers.

I just happen to have lots of foods all made and ready.. have more than usual, but I’m getting used to being away working a lot more so maybe that’s why. I’ll make a couple salads this morning to go with it before work and leave enough time for tea with my friend & it will all work out beautifully.

The baskets going to look great. I made:

Neatballs with Sweet and Sour Sauce
Pizza Crust with Tomato Sauce (no time for nut cheese, but I eat it all the time like this & it’s amazing!)
Ceasar Dressing – raw - cashew base, I’ve been really enjoying this a lot lately also.
Beet and Celery Salad – everyone thinks they won’t like it.. raw beets? ..But everyone who tries it loves it.
Broccoli Salad – If I get out early enough & can find a beautiful organic broccoli for it.
Fruit, Seed & Nut bars – lots of stuff with honey and some bars with cacao & coconut!
Spicy Nuts & Seeds – this is a favorite of mine.. I have a bag of this almost all the time in my backpack with me, just in case, so I will never starve. well, until it runs out anyway. ; )

Also have for her Lara Bars – Banana cookie & Pecan Pie – my fav flavors.
Living Harvest Bars – Cocoa Passion and Forbidden Fruit.
Sprouts from work – Sunflower, Pea greens and Ancient Eastern Blend

..and there will be other things from the health food store like raw almond butter, raw honey etc. and some fresh organic fruits and vegetables.

Sentient Times – Alternatives for Personal and Community Transformation
Sentient Times is a free bi-monthly magazine with a variety of articles on Community, the Environment, Psychology, Spirituality, Politics, Technology, Health, Business, Astrology, Herbs, Nutrition, Evolving Consciousness and Creativity.

My thought for the day comes from The Hidden Messages in Water book I am currently reading by M. Emoto. He writes about the famous quantum theorist David Bohm, who has a theory in which he states that every part of the universe contains the information of all parts of the universe. What this means is that every one of us, even every single cell in our body, contains all of the information of the universe.

Love and Gratitude to Water day

It’s evening again.. another day of going non-stop. But I slowed down for yoga, which was wonderful. We had Jane filling in for Tracy, who was supposed to fill in for Jeannie.. usually Jeannie’s class is a workout, but this was so nice & relaxing with lots of deep stretching & exactly what I needed.

I was reading something really interesting on the subway coming home from work today. That’s the bonus of taking the subway, time to read. ..& less time, & less pollution..

I am reading The Hidden Messages in Water by Masaru Emoto. So many great thoughts – water is different & forms different crystals from different locations around the world. It also reacts differently & forms different crystals when different types of music is played to it.. when different things are said to it, thought to it.. even when words typed on a piece of paper are held next to it, on the outside of a glass.. the water changes forming beautiful, symmetrical 6 sided crystals when positive words are used and negative words create deformed or unformed crystals.. water reflects back what is thought, & the energy surrounding it.

What I was reading that particularly struck me was that the most beautiful crystal of all, created by the subject of Love & Gratitude, actually looks more like gratitude than love. Emoto makes an interesting observation about this – how we are all about Love, thinking it is the most important thing there is.. but Gratitude is actually more powerful – it has a stronger vibration and a greater influence. Love is more active, like the sun, Yang.. Gratitude is more passive, like the moon, very Yin. He relates these to water itself, Gratitude is more like Hydrogen & Love is like Oxygen. In water Hydrogen has 2 molecules for each of Oxygen’s 1 - H2O. He thinks gratitude is twice as large as love and this is the balance we should strive for. He suspects that in our society and in our life’s we live in an opposite ratio and that life would be more balanced and in harmony if we reversed this.

The power of Love is very powerful and he does not deny this, but he calls our attention to the fact that as a culture we place most of our energy here and the other side, appreciation and gratitude receives too little attention. Less action is needed. He suggests a good starting point is to learn what it is to have enough. Appreciate the planet we live on with it’s rich and abundant nature – appreciate water, clean air.

“When you have become the embodiment of gratitude, think about how pure the water that fills your body will be. When this happens, you yourself will be a beautiful, shining crystal of light."

He mentioned in another part, where a lady at a lecture said this reminded her – the Yin & Yang of Gratitude & Love - of the saying ‘Speak once, Listen twice’ – as we have one mouth & two ears.

Today is "World Day of Love and Thanks to Water"

http://www.thank-water.net/english/

- Please join us to send our Love and Thanks to all the water in our physical body that has been sustaining and nurturing our lives on this planet. 70% of our body is made of water. We owe so much our health to the water in our body.

- Then, let us send our Love and Thanks to all the water on Planet Earth. 70% of the surface of the Earth is occupied by water. The environment on planet Earth is maintained by the water circulating in various forms. If it had not been for water, life would not have been created on planet Earth.

At the bottom of the page, click on the link ‘Water Prayer’ where they describe many ways to send Love & Thanks to water.
